Thanks for the great video! I fly fish from my paddleboard, and I have a few suggestions for you. Go paddling without any gear, just you and the paddle, and learn to balance on it. Then you won't need to use the cooler for balance. When you're first getting on, try sitting down on it first, then get up on your hands and knees, then turn your body so you're facing the front of the board, and then you should be able to easily stand up. It's a lot easier to balance if you keep your feet pointing toward the front or back of the board. If you need to turn sideways, which you often do when fishing, try getting down on your knees first.

Man I can't believe you did this whole thing as your first time on a paddle board! Props to you... I tried one for the first time last weekend and I bailed at least 2 times. I don't think I want to be anywhere around a hook on that thing until I get a little better 🤣😓🚑

When you pump it, make sure the needle is in the green zone somewhere in the higher end of the green zone if its just you, lower end with gear or a second person.

Props to you for fishing on your maiden voyage on paddleboard! My first time out I caught and landed a shark (+clean & cook). But dude - muh simpler to paddle from seated position on cooler. Stand up to sight fish and cast, but not for traveling. Also - rig a leash system for rod and dry box. Eventually you will fall off, probably when you get real comfortable. I didnt see any wind where you were, but little anchor will prove useful.

Been kayak fishing in a crescent lite tackle for a while and decided to try out a board now. Got a blackfin model V, which is awesome but definitely requires more balance at 32" wide so we'll see how it goes when I try fishing in it lol. Great video! Look forward to more.

I liked your video man! Just ordered me a paddle board after borrowing my buddies, was able to paddle and fish with an 8 year old on the front standing up. I sat on the cooler and it worked amazing! I ordered the exact same board as him (Amazon aqua plus 11ft). It comes tomorrow and I'm so excited! Watched all the way to the end and we've been subscribed for a long time 😁

I paddleboard fish a lot. If you feel unstable, you may have a board that is too short. A good fishing paddleboard is at least 11ft long for a 5ft or taller person. Weight distribution on the board is important as well. keep the heaviest loads toward the middle of the board....just some tips!

I would highly suggest watching some vids on how to hold the paddle or talk to a professional because when I started paddle boarding I held the paddle the same way you did!

To honestly review the board you really should inflate the board to close to the max psi recommend you will have minimal flex. You did extremely well for first time on a board!

I use a cheap inflatable paddle board that has a seat, and just use it like a sit-on kayak. Much more rigid than the inflatable kayaks but with the benefit of putting it in a backpack in the trunk

I'm hopefully ordering one within the next week or one like it. The one I'm looking at is an 11'6" and 34" wide. How long is yours? I'll be adding a cooler that I attach a swivel seat on to. You can even use the back D rings to mount a small motor.

They have a few boards for $220 which is really cheap for an inflatable paddle board. I don’t know much about them, but it could be a cool video idea for you. I’m looking on getting the funwater cruise 11.
