I fish a lot for Red-Band Rainbows. They do lose their par marks when they get bigger. Really enjoyed this video.

Nice collection of fish and streams! That first drainage you were in gets a lot of pressure from Eagles, Ospreys, Herons and Kingfishers. I find the fish tend to avoid the slower, clear water in favor of the faster current and riffles where they can hide from predation (or evolution has developed things in that way). Likely why those pools aren't as productive as you'd hoped. I'd like to see a special vid where you catch a cutt from all three drainages at the Tri-Basin-Divide: The Colorado (Green River Cutt), the Columbia (Snake River Cutt) and the Great Basin (Bonneville Cutt) in one day! That'd be a fun challenge.

I like how you double-checked your car at the first stream; I'm extremely OCD when it comes to locking my car, and making sure I have my keys. Back in college, I was fishing a lake well away from town - I finished up, opened my trunk, dropped my keys in my tackle box and , before my brain engaged, slammed the trunk shut, my keys securely locked away. I bummed a ride to the nearest pay phone (this was 1985), called a tow truck, and when we got my car back in town, they slugged the lock out. For the rest of my time in school, I had to open my trunk with a screwdriver.

Do you fish Nevada often? I've lived in Elko most my life I'm 51 there is so many little creeks in Elko county and surounding area that hold fish. Most one can step across the creek itself. If you're ever this far look me up my name is clynt.

I like your videos not just for the fishing, but also for the stunning scenery you fish. If you get "skunked" fishing, you could easily just turn it to a fantastic nature video. You are blessed to live in such majestic country.
