Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could kzfaq.infoUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.

Wow,I'm 58 fished all my life.we did with old-school lures and caught plenty of fish.im amazed how expensive it's became. I thought I went nuts when I paid 8 bucks for a terminator spinnerbait.i still use wooden jitterbugs and Hawaiian wigglers and 10 inch plastic worms.put an eaker shaker on the worm and it became a swim bait type lure.i hate them but rattletraps did the same as those big baits. Great job guys.

Get you a glide with a better swim. If you like that smaller size try a chad Shad or hypershad. The retrieve is cool. I usually go slower and go wider glides to left and right with the pauses and jerks like you’re doing. They’ll definitely follow on the chop/twitch too. Also a glide has one joint like the s-waver. The ones with more joints are not glides but swimmers 👍

Lol! Stuck fishin in IL all my life, in 35+ years I caught one 7lb'r and she's on my wall! Y'all are referring to 6 - 7lb bass as everyday occurance. I'm on the fence whether I would want to be where you're at and have a chance of getting a double digit. Or risk becoming gator food. I'm sure this probably sounds crazy but when I watch your vids in the back of my mind I'm picturing an 8' gator lookin for a scooby snack. Not sure if I'd have the fun plumbs to go near that water. Great video. When I fish glyde baits or swim baits I retrieve it normally but then Ill kill it. Wait a couple of seconds then speed up then kill it again.

The big ones are big for a reason. They are a bit more picky. Great video though. Swim baits are like every other bait. One day a straight retrieve works and the next it's a stop and go day.
