Brant buddy, just wanted to tell you that im from Bama, lived in OBA and GS for years, still own a condo at old Lani Kai and live in Canada for work now. We came down last week to stay there and do some fishing too. Went by yalls shop in GS by the bridge and i cant rem the guys name that helped us but he was great. Yall have one HELL of a store man! He got me a 2 piece Tica for my smaller Penn and it was perfect. CRAZY warranty too! Excellent price. Used a few things I've seen in your videos and some personal experience and we had a successful trip . Thanks for what you do and your people that are at the shop there in GS. I will NOT go another place from now on. If yall are down there in the area, stop by. Theres stuff there for REAL serious fishermen/women to people like me that just fish when they can. Really appreciate it. Was my fiances first experience saltwater fishing. I gave her the Sabiki rig and she had a damn blast. lol.

I started fishing 1 1/2 years ago and it has calmed me down so much and made me a lot more happy. I even started creating content! It’s been the greatest adventure of my life! My life was basically meaningless 2 1/2 years ago and now it’s so amazing! I work at the greatest barbershop in Jupiter, FL! And these guy gave me a pier cart and 2 rods for my birthday and my life has changed completely! Tight lines and Fish On!

Back when I was just a kid, we use to come over the toll bridge and take a right, go down a mile or so, turn in near a big oyster pile on ICW and camp for a week. Fish all day and crab at night, had some great times! Caught my biggest flounder ( almost 5 lbs ) right near that big oyster pile....then my Mom caught, what my dad said was a calico grouper, off the beach that was a good 24 inches long. Nothing fancy just a tent, cooler, mostly little zebco rod and reels, couple coleman lanterns, and camp stove, us 4 kids and my mom and dad. I'm almost 68 now and still great memories! Now it's all built up, what a shame!

They were pretty strict this summer about the sound side. As long as our boat wasn't touching the sand on the banks and we weren't walking out of water, they told us we were good. So technically you aren't supposed to be on the "beach". Nice Trout!

nice one man.. that Needle Fish, very tasty crispy fried but also really good bait. In Australia I learned their method of using Ganged Hooks, google it. You'd have 5 hooks connected in a string. Where the barb of one hook is passed through the eye of the next hook so multiple are connected. Then you bait up the fish and retrieve it fast like a lure (or cast it out and leave it in one spot). Because of all the metal and hooks in the bait it holds together really well and because of all the barbs there are many opportunities to hook a fish. Although they usually go for the last one. This is standard practise down under but I've never seen my American brothers do it, which tells me you guys don't know about it.

It's illegal here, too many hooks.
@waynoswaynos
@waynoswaynos 8 ай бұрын
@@scottmichael3745 Wow, too many hooks.. well that explains that. But then again, the throw nets that you guys use for catching bait are illegal in Australia. And fishing shops in New Zealand don't stock them. I think they prefer you buy their frozen bait $$$.
