You guys go out all the time, cook and camp around Tahoe. Have you ever had any problems with bears? Bear tips? You folks carry a lot of food. I have three cannisters of bear spray. Now have been told that it is illegal to use it in California. Illegal or not, if needed, I will use it. Bought two new cannisters recently from REI. Went in to pick them up. The girl at the counter, "Oh This is the Guy Buying Bear Spray" to the whole store. "We can sell it to you, but you can't use it in California" I will use it as I deem appropriate.
