Fishing at Greens Lake for the first time since it was netted

Greens Lake near Corop was decommissioned a couple of years ago and has been slowly drying up. When it was almost completely dry, the Victorian Fisheries Authority netted it to catch and relocate as many Murray cod and yellowbelly as possible.
Then late in 2022 widespread flooding rainfall saw Greens Lake fill up with water again.
This was my first time fishing it since it almost dried up and was netted. Are there any fish left in Greens Lake?

Good to see it has life in it. Great that you're reducing the number of carpio to make space for yellabellies. I went jetty fishing tonight in sea water and caught a tiny silver whiting on red wriggler compost worms. Luckily there is no size limit on them. I brought it home for Bear the Husky to eat but he can't figure out what to do with it. I had heaps of bites. So next outing will be to the River Torrens by the Adelaide Zoo to try for Redfin. Keep the videos coming mate.

Hi Robbie, saw an Australian video of a fly fisherman who was targeting very big carnivorous carp feeding on small carp. He was pulling in several 70cm + carp on a big fly type lure which was actively being chased by the carp and he had an absolute ball catching them. I reckon that kind of fishing experience ought to be used by our tourist fraternity to encourage the fishing crowd in the UK and Europe to come and fish our huge mud marlins. Mind you, your videos of pulling in those monsters certainly would be hugely attractive over there and your local mates, so keep pulling the buggers in to do your bit for Australia.!
