We used to drive almost all the way to the end back in the day or drive all the way back in the right side and wade across to get to the spill. Best place to fish but a hassle to get to now that it’s blocked unless you have a kayak. Also not a fan of leaving my vehicle unattended so far away either. Great vid.

i am a Flour Bluffian and fished there a lot in the ninties. It is almost like cheating. Looks pretty much the same, a lot of disgusting protein scum and litter. glad to see someone put a trash can out there. there use to be a lot of car break ins over at mud bridge. Hopefully that has changed. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Also back in 2005 I was invited by a cpl executive and fished the pond over the fence. Caught 18 monster reds for a group of 6 fisherman. In one area I was surrounded by tailing redfish. This was over a three day period. Great place

I have fished the other side of the fence , invited as a guest many times , there are some monster reds in there, but they watch it pretty close and will charge you with trespassing if you are caught.

I love that lure, I have one pack left of the regular slam shady and 4 of the Alabama leprechaun

Finger mullet is the trick for the gators and reds back there for sure! Last month was a slay fest when the tides were really low... Ron of mullet everywhere castanet em and throw em out with a 1/4 oz Carolina rig slaying 24+ inch trout, slot reds and Doormat flounder.

crazy in my head i said "i remember as a kid we used to go" and its in your descriptions we had some cool dads ! haha my father would take me so many places i havent seen this one in years ,also theres a beach area isnt there?i remember a beach with foam all over the shore is that a diffrent part of the spillway?I fish local area funny story we were fishing for almost 16 hours and moving to diffrent spots when we got to cpl we ofcourse had a stringer after several hours of fishing...well being 12 year old me not knowing..i put the stringer in the water and fed all the crabs haha my dad just laughed

If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.
