Last spring Henry and I were given the opportunity to go carp fishing at a lovely set of lakes before they opened to the public. With a picturesque backdrop and a completely unknown stock of carp we couldn't wait to see how the session played out. #carpfishing #fishing

Yes, both are now fully stocked and opened as a syndicate. We fished it around 6 months prior to the first stocking of fish.

Venues like these are great, lovely video! Glad Henry mentioned the mouth damage on these fish. After seeing the first one, I was like.. yeah these have been caught plenty in the past.

I know this place, the fish arrived here from the gravel pits next door that were stocked mid 90s flooded and ended up in there, I remember when these looked like dangerous mud pits in the field. The river has produced 40lb fish there too.

Fishing at almost virgin waters is so much better than to stocked ponds, which can be nice, but not that rewarding. There is magic is finding out new reality, even catching fewer numbers. Was wondering why you did not use corn, while a bream magnet, that would be attract most of the carp too. Hope there will be return to this place!

i fished a like like this and me n my friends called the 'top secret lake' and only ever had one 20lb the only known carp in the lake

Such a shame the lakes have been heavily stocked with fast growing foreign strain fish. Those few originals would have been fine for a low stock lake.

With all due respect Jacob its not the 1st time videos have been put out there by Nash personal with people not using life jackets ? just because you say at the beginning of a film we advice you use them ,doesnt not mean young impresioanble kids will not follow suit as to what they have seen in the actual film ? ...that's like saying we advocate the use of them but we don't really use them ? Make sense ? ....be interesting to see whether you actualy do follow your own advice in future vids,personally I won't be holding my breath but we will see !! go and ask Jim shelly what he thinks about the use of Life jackets ,he is associated with nash ...his best pal died in a lake after going out in a boat having not worn one !!
