Fishing Botany Bay Shipwreck for Kingfish - Catching Yakkas for live bait on Sabiki

Күн бұрынIt was a beautiful weather on the water, took the boat out with my Brother and Father in law to target some Kingfish in Botany Bay.
Started with catching some Yakkas on the Sabiki noodle rod to use as Live Bait, filled an Esky with good size ones, only dropped 3 live Yakkas with no hits from the Kingfish, kept the rest as bait.
While waiting for the Kingies to hit, started casting some metal jigs and soft plastics with no luck, so resorted to the Sabiki on the noodle rod which surprised me.... ended up with nice pinkies, Bream, Jewfish, Reef Fish, Wrasse, Grunter, all returned except for the keeper Trevally for Sashimi.

I'm from Vic going to botany bay in a boat for 2 days. Whats biting? Where should I fish!?

You can fish on the Heads, towards La Perouse, or by the Shipwreck and jeti for Kingies... you will see boats around those areas if the weather is fine and not windy. All the best mate

I’ve been trying yakkas in regular spots around the harbour, dead as in th3 late evening ,,, atm

Yes especially with the rainfall, water is merky as. Only option is to go towards the heads.
