Field Trips with Robert Field

2 жыл бұрын

In this episode it's our final day camping way off the grid on the uninhabited southern coast of Panama, and we're making the most of it. We're fishing from the beach and rocky shore right in our front yard for a wide variety of species, exploring the jungle behind camp where we find a critically endangered species of monkey and several other large mammals, harvesting wild fruits and hoping for the best, and kayak fishing offshore for yellowfin tuna and more. This was an incredible finish to the trip of a lifetime. DISCLOSURE: I may earn a commission when you use one of our coupons/links to make a purchase.

Tbh I love the trip!!! but part of it feels too commercial. I feel your videos are attempting to sell me something instead of entertain me and I’ve fallen off on watching religiously. I did watch all three of these and really did enjoy them.. I’m used to KZfaq adds and all of that but your vids seems to be transparently money driven and .. idk it seems less like your connecting with me like you did in the past. I’m not being a troll I’m just answering your question. I wish I could live your life and have zero bad feelings towards you, honestly. I rarely comment but I felt i should now… and that’s because I feel like I’m losing you as one of my favorite watches and it makes me sad.

Hi Robert - Nice adventure. I've accidentally hooked a few seabirds over the years including gannets, boobies and pelicans. What I do to unhook them is to first take off my T shirt and cover their head with it. They can't see and this effectively paralyses them until you get the hook out. I then hold them at arms length, quickly remove the T shirt from their head and let them go. It takes a second or two for them to get their bearings before they take off. I've found this method always works.

I don’t know that I would be crushing on back there without a worry there could be some big cats back in there along with snakes and other dangerous creatures. It is a wild jungle. and for spending 3 days there in tents who knows how dangerous that could be they may want to fence that area off and keep there clients close to the shore when they get this rolling the Jungle can be a beautiful but deadly place
