@@rme5830 ya just never know what is under the hood till you try it , ,sorry not meaning innuendo, they just seem to be in the air , in NZ we have a program called outward bound , they take towny millenials , and freeze them, wet them, starve them , generally give them a hard time , they may not come out Bear Gills , but they find out a lot more about what they can do and tolerate . Heidi being Heidi , a large [male ] audience would be entranced . and Heidi being Heidi , I strongly suspect she would be fairly close to dead before she gave up . besides she has Faith , Really helps .

Am I the only angler who's primary tool of choice is a fly rod that hasn't seen a river runs through it? I've heard to many people say to much about it that I truly would rather go walk through a running river than watch that movie.

​@@Adroit1911 Spent most summers when i was young, alone and secluded form everything but nature. Fly fishing all day. I wouldn't even were water shoes. Just my tippet, and flies. I learned the river like the back of my hand. best days of my life. wanna know what inspired me to ditch the spinner rod when i was 12.... Its an awesome movie, awesome story, you're missing out. Remember never judge a book by its cover.

I think I've just heard so many opinions of other people, all varying wildly, that I have a convoluted picture of "cover" that it just holds no appeal to me. I'd rather go throw a rubber legged stone to some carp on one of the plethora of watering holes we have here in the great state of Utah.

Not much to learn if you wanna know how to fish for trout. Find water (hopefully with fish) tie a hook on the end of the line. Any bugs you can catch (grasshoppers, June bugs, worms, whatever) get stabbed onto the hook for bait. That's all you really need. You can add a fish rod and reel to that list too.

@@smp5343 fer sure, lotsa fashion and gear hype involved. Ive know guys that wouldn't think of a trout adventure without a 4wd rig and a thousand dollars worth of flies, rods and other perfernalia. first trout i ever caught was on a self tied monstrosity that looked like nothin in the natural world. At th time i was suspicious about all of the caveats and hype about what flie/rod/line to use etc, but after that catch I kind of do my own ties. and treated them like perch or bass and catch plenty of rainbow and browns in Lower Mt Fork in SE OK.

You obviously know nothing about cripple creek. Its a high priced fishing preserve. They stock all monster trout daily. Not very impressive. Like fishing in a barrel.

@@motofarmmx2430 True, I have never heard off the place up until I saw this video. Was I supposed to research it before commenting? Maybe you obviously thought I should. It is possible that it won't be obvious to me and tens of thousands of other people watching.

@@Pete_R63 pretty much any avid fisherman knows about it. It's all private property for preserves. Like I said they stock all monster trout daily. One place has its own hatchery. I live 500 miles away and I've heard all about it.

@@motofarmmx2430 I own a couple of poles, one I got in the 70s and I haven't fished since the mid 90s. So, I don't qualify as any kind of a fisherman which could explain why I have never heard of Cripple Creek- it is not part of my world. I know she was primarily a fishing channel so people interested in that watch, even more guys watch to drool over her, personally, I love views of the mountains and the land. I am always begging that she gets a live camera feed of the mountain views. For me, her best video might be the one that is a take on ASMR where she walked around in the woods in the snow and she really wasn't even in front of the lens. Just the fantastic sights and sounds of the woods in winter. Recently, I have been inspired to do a few fishing videos that actually show how little I know about it, hopefully in a comedic way, and fish like I did as.kid with a bobber and some bacon but I am an extremely lazy KZfaqr when it comes to posting videos. I have lots of ideas, hundreds of GB of video, and little to no impetus to edit and post.

We caught native speckled trout at the Mary Louise Lakes on the John Muir trail just out of Bishop. Much smaller, but the best taste ever.👍
