Fishing For Wels Catfish At Jaffa Predator Lake Essex

I've never been fishing for wels catfish before but the stories I've heard about catching wels catfish have really made me want to try and catch a UK catfish.
In this fishing vlog I have visited a day ticket fishing lake called Jaffa Predator lake in Essex which is stocked with UK wels catfish up to 60lb plus as well as carp to 35lb and koi over 20lb.
These hard fighting monster fish are known to be a great fishing adventure to catch, can I bag myself a big UK wels catfish?

Well done mate great video! would you now choose heavier rods and line given the way they fight? I’m off somewhere on Wednesday for 3 days and they go over 85lb 😖 but I’ve only got my 3lb rods with 20lb mono, I did order some 4lb rods which now aren’t turning up in time and now I’m panicking I’m going massively under gunned 🤣

Cheers mate, tbh I thi k the rods were perfectly up to it. However I may well go for a stronger braid if targeting bigger specimens.
