Fishing from a HUGE CLIFF catching strange fish

Күн бұрынI fish a small ledge on the side of a huge cliff. Fishing is pretty average unfortunately but I mange a few food fish in the end and the climb back out with pulling on the rope for a little added exercise and fun.

As a rigger myself "never unhook your safety and clip into your other line" he had two belay devices if im not mistaken so he was always clipped on to a safety line. Or as i like to call it 100% clip in. Btw this was amazing to watch best fishing spot ever lol

Here in the States fishing is 90% drinking beer and trading bulls**t stories when you get a good buzz on. Leave it to Ozzies to turn it into a death-defying butt-clenching dance with death. And how come your fish all look like an LSD flashback? Awesome entertainment, though! Keep it up. I think I’ll get up off the couch and grab another Budweiser before watching the next one.

Hey man, thanks for slappin’ such a wholesome video here. It was interesting, scary, absolutely gorgeous there, informative, only a little irritating with the ropes. I wanted to turn the camera to the ocean and just gaze for a few years. That profile shot of all the cliffs meeting the water. Good God. This was an enjoyable and satisfying clip. Again, thanks.

I love your videos. I know this is like 2 years old but look at those cliffs. Literally looking at millions of years of geology. Imagine the possible animals that were cruising around the level you're standing at while fishing....Wish I knew more about that kind of stuff. We did something like this in the states in a state park on a spring fed creek that was so inaccessible held some of the fattest and strongest small mouth bass for the area. These are the spots that hold the big ones. I love your videos , they take me back to this creek where we pioneered the fishing style for it in the 80's.

Tips from someone who knows nothing about fishing: Flip your gates around for easier clipping and also to keep them from opening when you don't want them to i.e. the one in the vertical crack. Flake your rope, tie knots in the ends and throw the bundle. Then rappel. Don't continue past your rope bundle when it's hung up on the rock. Throw it below you or you might have to come back to unsnag it. Maybe think about a back-up in your system (a prussic or something).
