Darwin fishing in Darwin Australia at East Point. There are HEAPS of rock fishing locations around Drawin, and this is just one of them. A lot of people do barra fishing off the rocks in Darwin.

See that big bloke in front of the camera? Yea, that's me. G’day folks, I’m Mikey Cunningham. I’m not only the bloke in front of the camera, I do all the work behind the camera too. I make fishing videos.
I live in Darwin in Australia's Northern Territory. Also known as the "Top End." A lot of my older videos are from the Gulf of Carpentaria, when I lived in a little fishing village called King Ash Bay Fishing Club. It's located on the banks of the McArthur River downstream from Borroloola in the Northern Territory. I still go back there a few times a year and make fishing videos of my fishing trips.
I enjoy filming and editing my fishing adventures. Sometimes it's not all about the fishing and catching fish. I try to make my fishing videos as entertaining as possible. Thank you to everyone who leaves me a comment and shares my stuff. You guys are awesome.

Hey mikey the best time to fish this spot is at 1.7 m on the in coming and right where you were at 5:20 on a small rock ledge. I fish there heaps and there is hundreds of Barra on small soft plastics.

those prons are good but more for fishing high tide casting in and around mangroves in my experience next time you should chuck either gold bomber or a elton john colored hard or soft plastic and you should give the old channel island boat ramp a go

They are nuts mate. You can get like 8 metres of run sometimes. Still struggling to work out how to catch fish with those tides..

Hi mate. Yea, legends for looking after me the other day. You were spot-on with that spot having a small window. After you guys walked back to the rocks the water was dirty and running too fast within minutes. Well done on the 75. I’m assuming no tags in it or I would have seen it on the news. Haha.

Haha. This was my first sponsored video ever. All those sponsors are Million Dollar Fish sponsors, not mine unfortunately. The hat is an Akubra Territory. I’ve had several of them now. They last me about 18 months I reckon. You’d reckon Akubra would want to sling me one a year wouldn’t ya? Haha. 🤠

What is the rod and reel set up you are using?

In this video mate, it’s a bit of an unusual setup. The reel is a Daiwa Laguna 4000 (quite big for a 4000) and a Savage Gear road. Can’t remember which model. Maybe a Salt 2.

How is the daiwa laguna reel doing is it decent . Im thinking of possibly getting one?

Mate, it’s ok for the money. I would consider it still in the “budget range” of reels. If you spent 50 bucks extra you could get something a lot nicer I reckon. One thing to note is the size. My Daiwa Laguna is a 4000 size reel. But put it next to my Shimano Saragosa 6000 and they are the same size. So the Laguna is quite large for a 4000 I would say. I hope this helps. 👍🏻🤠
