Fishing in the mountains of Colorado at a remote lake that has trout and Kokanee salmon living in it. I need food for camp and these fish are going to sustain me at my base camp for the rest of my time on the mountain.

Nice! I am currently researching researching trout for my honors thesis in college to graduate with honors. I am researching "how the fish market and fisherman affect the future of trout." I'd love to be catching the trout you are to connect them somehow. Currently I have about 30 pages of annotated bibliographies from scientific research articles. I also bought a brand new ultralight setup to hopefully catch some native and hatchery trout here in NC to connect to my paper. At least I was able to connect this research paper to something I enjoy (fishing) even though I've never caught trout in their natural setting (only stocked ponds). I have to write 40-100 pages lol...

kokanee have very soft mouths, that is why they kept popping off like that. You lose quite a few because they go crazy on the surface when hooked and the hook pulls out, its the same thing when we sockeye fish in the ocean here on the BC coast. Kokanee rods are very long/slow action, and when they troll for them they use rubber snubbers to reduce the pressure on the hook. Besides trolling, you can also vertical jig them in lakes on small spoons like you were using. They are lots of fun to fish for, and sockeye/kokanee are the best eating salmonid in my opinion. Great series so far LFG! I'm seriously jealous! :) thanks for the great content once again!

Next time you're up here please do a little research on cleaning fish and leaving guts behind. I appreciate your visit to CO, we have a beautiful state for a back yard. I hope you will address the issue in your next video. Whirling disease is a problem here and if a fish you clean has the disease then you increase the spread of the disease. Thanks for the content!

You are correct, the state fishing guide does request that a fisherman not dispose of entrails in bodies of water. Though I don't believe it is a "regulation" more, a request. It is pretty easy to miss as well...as it is 1 tiny sentence in a fairly non-descript section.

I don't like the skin. I'm probably the only person I know who doesn't. Everybody loves it, I know.....but, I'll pass. I butterfly the trout; put olive oil on inside and out. Once the fish heats up a little, the skin slides right off with a spatula. So easy. I love the way trout cooperate with you when preparing them to eat. You can do what you want with them, with ease!

I am wondering, why the government teaches us, that there is no God, don't you see what books in school teach, and what most every college professor pushes? It's that there is no God. But I have researched the supernatural half my life, and the conclusion is, everything scriptures say about Jesus Christ is the truth. Government is supposed to be our friend, but why is it pretty clearly pushes the no God agenda???
