Fishing Old Stomping Grounds (North Side) Port Mansfield, Tx

Жыл бұрынWent out solo Wade fishing to my old stomping grounds ( The North Side ) of public pier late April and had a decent Topwater bite. I had few good fish get away and a few nice ones caught over all a decent day. It had been a hot minute since I fished the north side due to lots of traffic but finally went on a day with very few fishermen. If you guys enjoy these type of vids please Like and Subscribe . Good video man and talking points are very nice. A thicker and shorter leader will help keep that line from tangling around the hooks on the topwater.

Get sum! I love them foggy mornings with zero winds. Taking the Old Town Salty's Kayaks out & Top Water but no luck on artificial yesterday. We hit X-Mas Bay yesterday & it was beautiful, clear & full of Bait! Limiting out on Tournament Size Reds fishing our little 4' gut we found. 27 3/4" all day. They were stacked up in there as usual.. We can get the Kayaks in there but its too shallow for the boats.

That’s awesome Mike! I haven’t had any luck on reds yet. Just a bunch of rat reds, but I’m bound to get out of them pretty soon hopefully, stay tuned and tight lines buddy 🤙

The quality of the vid might start at 360p but will eventually change to 4k60 since I’m importing it thru my phone fyi

Switch to fluorocarbon main line the braid has no stretch you will hook up more

what gear ratio do you prefer on the tranx? nice video

I have the 7.2 gear ratio and its great but if u do a lot of sight casting I would recommend higher

Great video... Ive never seen the single hooks on the topwater and I gotta say I dont like em...missing way too many blowups..but looks like it was definitely on. Thanks for sharing it!

No problem buddy, when you get to Port, stay on the the main road Mansfield Drive ,heading east then you will see the bay and a dead end. it’s the 2nd to last rd, road 606 I believe and that one should take you straight to the pier.

Bomber Bait Bonanza Topwater : Chartreuse head/ White body You can find them at Wal- Mart for $3.34 good lure for the price.

Way too much terminal tackle on that line.... tie ya a floro leader 3-5' long tie that TW on with a loop knot. You'll see and feel a difference.

Yes sir you are correct @bodeanholler, I just use a quick connect just cause Im lazy having to cut the loop knot every time I switch Topwaters 😂 but thanks for the tip👍
