Nice to see you out enjoying your selves, but it was so disappointing to see you rip that big cod's mouth apart for no reason. Maybe a bit of care with fish releasing might be good to practice. If people take care of their catch there would be more fish for all of us.

I was more worried about pulling it in the boat and stressing it out even more. And stretching the gills. If u see what those things eat i dont think they care about a sore lip.

As a spearfisherman, I have seen them with crayfish in their mouths. If you have ever handled a crayfish, their spikes are absolutely crazy and can shred an ungloved hand. That cod will be totally fine.
