I haven't had a sounder since the days of the paper graph. I'm amazed how you can see the fish now days. Looks like a lovely day out on that glassy water. I wanted to go for a fish this morning but the jetski threw a tantrum.

Yeah modern electronics are something else. They make all difference when fishing around here. That’s a shame about your JetSki, you’ll have to buy yourself a boat mate haha.

That was a beauty bream, they are very long lived & slow growing, it could be easy 50 years old. When the old Donnybrook bridge used to go to Redcliffe, lots of guys used to fish about the middle for giant bream. They used fine strips of fillet steak cut like worms. Real big ones used to come in in big numbers for a little bit if steak.
@martytuckerfishingАй бұрын
Yeah I personally could never keep a bream that size plus, I’m not a huge fan of eating them anyway. Interesting using steak as bait. I used bait for the first time in many years a couple of weeks ago fishing down in Melbourne with a mate of mine chasing black bream. I couldn’t for the life of me get them to eat a lure but had no trouble getting them to eat a piece of freshwater yabby. 🦞 😂

Always good to see someone catching in Brissy, Im new to the area and fish from a kayak with pretty limited success so far aside from a few flatties. I move from South Africa a few months ago and been super amped to catch a snapper, just need to find some now!
@martytuckerfishingАй бұрын
Thanks mate. Try the Wellington point and Cleveland point areas. On calm days it’s pretty popular with kayak fishers chasing snapper around those parts. 👍👌

Hi mate, another great vid. Do you mind I ask that why you didn’t get the 70hp over the 60hp? I believe the max HP for Renegade with replate is 70hp. I have the exact same boat with 50hp Yammy and thinking to go bigger. Also great idea to extend the rear casting deck will do the same. Thank you again and tight lines.
@martytuckerfishing22 күн бұрын
Hey mate, I’m not too sure what the brand new model of 420 Renegade is max plated to. Mine is a 2016 or 2018 model I can’t remember which tbh haha. I spoke with the dealer who I got the engine off and they said the max plate would be 60hp if I got it re-plated. I would have got a 70hp if I could but I don’t think I could get it re-plated that high. I’m still super happy with the 60hp but it’s great. 👌🤙
@shuomo122 күн бұрын
@@martytuckerfishing thanks mate! That’s awesome. I have 2017 Renegade with factory fitted console and 50hp Yammy, does job but just wish to have those extra powers. I’m assuming you went for high thrust model for your 60hp? Cheers
@martytuckerfishing17 күн бұрын
@@shuomo1 I think the t60 is the high thrust model. I went the f60 because my boat pretty light and I don’t plan on changing the props often for different scenarios.

Which transducer do you have? I have never had pics like that on my side scan.
@martytuckerfishing29 күн бұрын
Hey mate, I’ve got a Lowrance 3 in 1 active imaging transducer. It’s just the standard one that comes with HDS lives and Elite units. The new HDS Pro comes with a newer transducer which is supposed to be even better.
