Күн бұрынfishing an Ohio river dam in the winter for catfish, the water temps are in the 40's and the fish seem to be really deep this time of year but i show you how I use my fish finder to dial in on these fish and also show how to burp a fish from barotrauma with simple methods when you don't have the correct tools to get the job done.

It’s just that dam you can almost catch them year round suspended there and the water was 42.6 a little warmer than up stream by us

the campground i stay at is in walking distance from this damn i fish there all the time great spot. Wish people would pick up there trash though

If you bring them blues up slow they will decompress on the way up you’ll see a bunch of bubbles so you don’t have to do it yourself

Markland it’s one of the tougher dams to fish on the Ohio most people fish meldahl or greenup

Do u anchor down when you fish at markland? Always wanted to take my boat out there but wasnt sure how easy it was to hold a boat still out there.

I do not recommend anchoring it is really snaggy I’ve lost a few anchors and it can be dangerous but I have done it just find the calm pockets of water and stay away from the lock wall

Hey Sarah I’m using the abu Garcia max toro 50 I found it at sportsman’s warehouse it’s been a good reel for as cheap as it is and holds 60 pound braid no problem
