The spillway was definitely spilling a lot better during the spring filming. I would think that would increase your striper chances. The skipjack herring was cool. The hybrid striper spillway you described to the other angler sounds like a sweet spot - don't give up on it!

Cool video and place to fish. That skipjack shad did look like a mini tarpon, and its not an Engineering Hookset video without the Drum catch lol. Keep up the great content.

The guy in the boat is Melton Hill Bill fishing guide... He only releases fish and encourages others to do the same... and he is probably the best Stripper guide in east TN...

What water proof boots/shoes do you wear on your trips?

For bank fishing I usually wear muck boots. For wading I wear non-waterproof NRS backwater
