This time of year the Pinfish are thick and they are a great bait to have. They work both inshore for big Snook, Redfish, and Trout, and offshore for Grouper and Snapper.
Find yourself a nice livewell, a 55 gal. drum cut down works great and is cheap and then buy an air pump to keep them alive.

Sabiki rigs work great tipped with fiah bites works great as well.. we use that same rig to catch Whiting, blue fish, blue runners, and all kinds of perch... cool vids and live the action

Doesn't work well around here. I'll catch them hook and line instantly. Then chum and blow out the 12 footer and get like 5 and spook the rest.

Hi , I live at ponce inlet in new Smyrna , those sibiki rigs don't catch squat in the brackish water and the throw net is no better , are there any adjustments I can make in brackish water to catch the pinfish , I catch them 1 at a time or the white grunt that I prefer above all else but it is a choir , around here the may take the slightest nibble and steal your bait . it would seem a trap on certain days would cut your time in half because pinfish are just that aggressive to eat .

I couldn't quite see exactly how ya tied on the small hooks. I'm assuming ya pinched the loop to pass it through the eye of the hook, and then what, simply tie a single over-hand knot & pass the hook through the loop "palomar style"??? I think that's what ya did???
