Tides move the hardest during new/full moon and its the prime time to fish for striped bass especially.

The moon phases typically have the biggest effect on the activity of the prey species, but when the prey are on the move and feeding, so are the predators.

The most common calendars used by many nations across the world is the lunar moon calendar and here in New Zealand we use European calendar for daily use and lunar calendar for fishing collecting seafoods planting vegetables and the moon for changes in the daily weather conditions

Great video the information is fantastic. I get some tell me the full moon is great for fishing and some say the opposite. I guess it depends on if you are catching them or not.

Full moon fishing is best for dirty/murky waters, new moon fishing is best for clear water fisheries.

how does weather and water clarity factor in with the moon phase?

The moon has no direct effect on the weather or water clarity to my knowledge. If you look at it from a purely "illumination" stand point if you have clearer water there would be increased visibility with a full moon.

Kinda explain the moon but not how it relates to fishing I feel like this video was a run around that never got to the point she just promoting an app but I wanted to learn on utube
