I have been carp fishing for 40 years plus and all this is good solid advice. Your session videos really capture what it’s all about - friends having fun, enjoying the outdoors and sharing a passion for carp fishing. Too often we get drawn into complex rigs and methods, the notion that only very large carp matter etc. but you guys bring it back to basics really well and show how to simply enjoy catching carp. It all reminds me of my early years except carp were less plentiful then and we never had the hair rig! Great to see the future of the sport is in safe hands, keep it up lads!

I have a feeling that you two guys give an ultimatum or advice to Korda to speak buy yourself and talking about fishing on your own way, and not just to promote every single thing from Korda ( i also love they products )...As you say what every you like to fishing is that on the modern ways like deeper etc or on the old fashion way ... Keep it up with nice work and sorry for my bad english .Greetings from Bosnian angler :)

Great upload guys . I live in Australia and enjoy chasing the Carp over summer months . A nice lake to fish 10 minutes always seems to produce .My PB is 17 Lbs but hope to better this over winter . By law we can't return carp we catch to the water as they are classified as vermin here . That aside I enjoy fishing for them as well as Australian native species . Keep up the tutorials they are very informative .

@robertcourt8593
@robertcourt8593 4 жыл бұрын
There may be certain situations where you can't quite reach certain areas but the kit you have will definitely be good enough to start with. Get on the lake, use your eyes and ears to find the fish and put a bait as close to them as you can with a half decent rig. Rods and reels are just tools in your armoury, they're not the be and end all to catching fish.

The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel kzfaq.infoUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.

Good, basic info on (in the UK) larger waters. Here in Texas we would consider a 60 - 100 acres to be a small lake; much less to be a pond... but your information still holds true. Also, unfortunately, most of our lakes are surrounded by private property so our access is often only in parks or boat ramps. I know several carpers who fish from boats, but that is the exception rather than the rule; most of us are bank fishermen. So, we often “bait and wait”.

I’m from Canada and I’m trying to figure out how to fish the great lakes (Lake Ontario specifically). Haven’t tried it yet but I have a feeling that the swim is so large and the fish roam so much that trying to pre-bait will be fruitless. Any ideas?
@fishingtutorials
@fishingtutorials Жыл бұрын
Yes, on a very very large lake, the baiting will make less difference, however if you don’t bait, it’s going to be even harder! If you watch for fish jumping you’ll be able to chose an area where fish are already active which will help!
