I've often enjoyed red snapper and occasionally enjoyed grouper, but I've never seen mangrove snapper or gag grouper on a menu or at a seafood counter. I'm now on the lookout for those species!

That's the fishing I did in my youth in NW Florida. We used to eat quite well and sell much of the rest. Usually sell the snappers and grill the rest. Those are some absolute monsters.
