Fission Uranium has achieved a major milestone in its development of the Patterson Lake South uranium project in Canada's Athabasca Basin.
The company has submitted an application for a license to construct a uranium mine and mill facility to the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission while also commencing the Front End Engineering Design phase.
The FEED work is advancing on schedule, with the completion of geotechnical drilling, hydrogeological holes, test pits and downhole Vertical Seismic Profiling geophysical surveys.
The company has completed its winter field program and is progressing towards production, with a projected mine life of 10 years and a total production of 90.9 million lbs of U3O8.
