Are you fit to finish what God has called you to do? In Week 4 of the Start Sharp Series, Pastor Mike preached a word that is 7 years in the making. As he shared his fitness journey, he made the connection of how it was truly a journey of spiritual growth as well. God has a plan and purpose for each one of us, and we will only be able to fulfill it to the level our body can take it. God wants us to have a healthy heart - spiritually and physically. Sorry, but he should convict with you to do some nursing to the pool and lend your hands to the orphans. If he is teaching you eating habits, then he’s not teaching the right gospel.

My sermon notes for "Start Sharp// Fit to finish" week 4: 1.) Are you fit to finish what God has called you to do? 2.) What version ot you are you getting? This is not about superficial desires but about supernatural discipline 3.) FIT - a suitable quality, standard, or type to meet a required purpose. Being fit is not a size, it's about a standard 4.) Is your health worth following? Worship is not the songs you sing but rather the way you live 5.) People should be able to look at every area of your life and see God. Remember, it's not just physical health, but mental, spiritual, and emotional health is just as important. Offer your body as a living sacrifice every day. The Lord looks at your heart both spiritually and physically. Health is all about the heart. 6.) God will never ask you to do something that he has not equipped you to do. Your body is borrowed. It doesn't matter where you start in your journey. 7.) God is way more concerned with your body than the building. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit. You make him inhabit a place that you do not clean. Health is not something you need a miracle for, it's a decision 8.) It's not about body image, it's about God's image. What's not transformed is transferred. Be consistent, it takes time to transform your temple. Slow growth= strong roots 9.) Fitness is an act of faith. You have to have fitness to finish the race 10.) Declare this statement over yourself: " I will be fit for the finish" Scripture reference: 1 Samuel 16:7 Romans 12:1-2 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 9:24-27 Hebrews 12:11

This issue of gluttony among believers has been on my mind for years. I have often wondered why so many believers think it’s okay to be unhealthy due to obesity. This sermon was a revelation for me. Just today, I got sick after drinking cranberry juice. Not pure cranberry juice, but the kind with high levels of sugar. I prayed to the Father for healing, and I was lead to go back to eating the food from the Daniel Fast (Plant-based) I had been eating during the 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer along with drinking water. I am now back to normal, and the sickness is gone. Amen! Starting last year, the Holy Spirit has placed me in a Plant-based culinary arts program where I prepare plant-based foods. Now, it is evident that I go all in with Plant-based eating as a living sacrifice for proper worship. Thank you, Pastor Michael Todd, for heeding the word from the Father and sharing it with us along with sharing your testimony as well.

Such a great message pastor! Before watching this sermon I told my sister this morning “I feel like I’m in a season of discipline.” It may not make sense. However, what I meant was, I focused on being disciplined in my health (fitness), and my spiritual health. Watching this message made me remember a time I told the lord “I’m struggling to read the word God.” And I heard the Holy Spirit say “working out is not easy, eating healthy is not easy, but with consistency, small changes will make a big difference that will lead to discipline, same thing is with getting consistent with reading the word and spending time with me. Just start.” This message was a huge confirmation for me. Regarding my health and spiritual health. I’m razor sharp FOCUSED. Starting sharp, staying sharp, Progress over perfection. Just START.

I've been consistently dieting and exercising for a couple of months now, with nothing to show for it. I was greatly discouraged and really ready to give up... again. Listened to this on my way to work this morning and was encouraged to keep going. Went back to the gym after work and did a little at home exercise when I got home. Praying the Lord will bless my efforts as long as I'm consistent.🙏

You got this! You are not alone. Small steps produce big results. I started a weight loss journey in 2022, it took me 1 year and half to lose 57 lbs but I stuck with it. I wanted to Quit when I lost both of my parents in 2023 but I trusted God and pushed through and I made it and still losing by the grace of God. Consistency will get you there. Keep going even when you don't feel like it. I'll be praying for you Rebecca. God Bless

I just wanted to let you know that 43:05 is not necessary. The illustration of the car being lent to us and us being more protective over something lent than of what is ours was sufficient, but to do that to the written word of God is an issue. Let's not forget that people died for the Bible you and I have, and some even to this day.

This was one of the best messages I have seen and listened to you preach!! I have NEVER heard anyone preach a message about making what you did in prayer in fasting a lifestyle! I went from a life of gluttony being exposed in your cuffed to the cake to this being my first prayer and fasting. I did no sweets and no meats this last month and through your message the Holy Spirit said Now I want you to do this the rest of the year and I agreed to partner with him in this new healthy lifestyle! God has promised me another child and through this lifestyle change I am doing my part and believing him for the miracle in his part in this coming to pass this year!!! Every time I think of breaking my fast I will picture me throwing junk on top of the Holy Spirit and how much that breaks my heart to do that to him. That demonstration I'm going to show my kids to help me explain to them porn food music everything we put in our bodies this is what we are doing to the Holy Spirit. LIFE CHANGING message for me and my family! THANK YOU for your obedience to this message and your gift of vulnerability !

I pray that anyone following this man, eyes are opened to the true gospel and I pray that Pastor Mike Tood’s eyes are open to the truth. There is nothing wrong with being healthy but that passage has nothing to do with a physical heart. If your spiritual heart is healthy, the rest of the body will follow.

It is a powerful sermon on gluttony and the first time I heard him tackle the issue of gluttony . Praying for strength for all who want to the stronghold of gluttony to be broken in their lives.🙏🏾

Listen no matter how long it takes, I’m praying with Transformation Church about the gym. In my heart I want to be part of a project like that. I will be here working on myself, to be fit for the spirit of god and for to finish my assignments. But I will patiently wait here to see this beautiful picture come to life. I had a dream about this last night, except MT was Eddie Murphy 😂, and I was telling him he was gifted to energize, encourage and champion people (we were in a basketball gym and there were glazed donuts were on a table!!). I’ve always skipped over that particular sermon. Frankly because I didn’t think it applied to me. Ha! Seeing **your** comment moved me to go watch it next. First Cuffed to Cake and now this. You're killing me Pastor Mike! This was not easy to hear as a foodie. 😅 This is a necessary message though. For the most part I do pretty good with moderation, but felt myself slipping. I really hope that everyone who listens to this message, a seed has been planted. You can do this.

I was extremely bothered when Pastor Mike started a trashing the church. Then, I remembered that Yesterday I sinned against the temple of the Holy Spirit (my hot flashes) turned into giving into temptation. Today I feel terrible and I can’t even talk to God or look at him 😔 today I was convicted of how poorly I have treated my body, the temple of the Holy Spirit. Lately, I’ve been hot and bothered and it has been so easy to just give in into temptation. I hate it. Pray for me if you read this message.

The message was for me ! I’m starting strong tomorrow walking for 30 mins I have been feeling the Lord telling me that my life is spot with the price. One of my goals this year is to get in the best shape of my life, and I believe that that goal was inspired by God. I will be fit to finish in 2024. I will have the heart to carry every assignment , that the Lord has for me. Prophetically I speak I will walk into every promise. The Lord has told me. AMEM

What others perceive Tobe food wastage is actually an accurate illustration that many people are not HUMBLE enough to demonstrate because of what the people will say. Pastor Mike is for the people and he is accurate and he cares.

Literally just made a plate and sat down ate a little before I turned this sermon back on and before I could even turn it on I lost my appetite, started gagging and threw up the little I just ate. It was a mess, went in my nose and all and it took 10m for me to get noodles stuck out of my nose and the back of my throat. Gods been very loud this week since Sunday and it’s only Wednesday 🥴🫠

This message was awesome and we don’t talk about this topic enough. However we are not so different from God in that the people that we truly love, we will see their mess and love them anyway. If we are supportive enough we will actually sit with them in the mess. Now don’t get it twisted, we are not supporting the mess but encouraging them to work through the mess towards being organized so to speak. This message highlighted the mess that we all often overlook and sometimes we even have helped to create the mess 😮.
