As someone who is non techy, I love that it's screen is simple. What you call "boring" I call user friendly.

I've had an Inspire 2 for a few months. I really like the small size and simplicity of it versus all the functionality. Most of the activity tracking is done automatically. When running on the treadmill the fitbit knows I'm running and tracks the activity and heartrate. Distance tracked is reasonably close to my treadmill. When I walk my dog it recognizes I'm on a walk and automagically tracks it. For weightlifting sessions I usually start the activity on the FitBit manually, so not sure if it would pick that one up. Great general fitness watch with a lot of features at a good price. I agree that sometimes the screen is too small and difficult to read during an activity.

I bought two - one for me and one for my wife. We decided that we wanted a simple tracker that didn't need frequent charging. The main thing for Kathy is step count and for me, time of day, small on wrist, heart rate and exercise level per week. It does not recognize our exercises automatically - stationary bike, rowing machine, vibration plate ... It is already more complex than we need and I don't see myself or her making use of the premium service software. Instead of giving one year free, I would have preferred 50% off the price. It is a shame that the screen display does not fully occupy the physical space available more fully and that the surface is vulnerable to scratching. (must take it off for gardening, I think.) I find the pinch to change screen difficult but hope to do most fiddly bit via my phone app. They are neat and I can tell the time etc. That is enough - the cheaper competition looked to be too big

Great review - love the "few weeks on" format! 🙂 I also suspect that Fitbit didn't sponsor this video 😁 For me it is as important the money I didn't spend as money spent on getting a good value product! Thank you @WesKnows! 😊👍

Hey Wes! which fittness tracker that you have tested is the thinnest? i don't want one that sticks out too much.
@WesKnows

Hi F! The thinnest tracker so far is Honor Band 6 @ 10.8mm👆 but the Honor ES is 10.7mm-more of a smartwatch though🤔

The charging cable is outrageously short and it pushes onto the back with retention clips to charge. The design is different than our other Fitbits that used a charger you clipped around the watch to charge. You have to force the charger into place and force it off the watch when done. I don't think this is going to last.
@schumerthd
@schumerthd 2 жыл бұрын
You are right, that requires more force than I would like to use. It is a matter of time before fitbit starts using a magnet. The cable length has always been outrageously short.

I love the size of the screen as I am petite and don't want a big, bulky watch. What I don't like is that it is so dim when outside that I can only read the time. Inside all print is easily read and I have old eyes with cataracts. What other slim watch would you recommend that is compatible with Iphone? I'm returning the inspire due to dim display outside.

My insurance company bought this for me to do I have it free for a year. I'm old and disabled, and wish I could change my step goal to something more realistic for me. Also wish I could record my blood pressure is SPO2, blood glucose and other measurements, like I can my weight. Instead of having several apps where things are recorded. Also found the controls are not intuitive. Where does water lock hide? Can't find it half the time. Likewise on clip and on wrist, where do they live? A better manual would be nice, too. If it wasn't free, I wouldn't have bothered. I mostly wanted it for sleep tracking in but I haven't gotten it to work in the two days I've had it. I suspect it was "on clip" and have corrected this, so I hope it works tonight.

@VintageRayne 2 жыл бұрын
You can change your step goal! From the main screen in your app. Tap the big blue circle that has your step number on it. Up in the right hand corner. Tap the gear icon. You’ll see a list. Steps Distance Calories Ect. Tap the number you want to change. Clear the current number using the button on the keyboard that pops up that looks like an arrow with an “x”. Type in the number you want. Tap done (upper right hand corner). That should fix it in the future as well as update your previous days. Hope I explained it properly. :)

Liked your excellent review and as my eyesight is not so good, I do not wish to have a magnifier tied to my pocket with a safety pin to read a tiny screen so I will sidestep it and let nature track my heart beats as it is a silly as counting raindrops. Who needs to be so crazy as to count heart beats? There are other things to concentrate on in life.

I love your office but not the tracker I don't think there are any good trackers they all have problems and they are all glued together so it is a throwaway item when it goes wrong and they do, Fitbit has very bad screens with lines I don't think I want to spend my money on an item that is not accurate and that is not repairable but thanks for the video very good and well presented

I have the Inspire II and I have to disagree with most of what you said. I prefer the simplicity of the tracker and the size, yes, I actually like the watch and band size. I have had smart watches with bigger screens but I found them too chunky. I only want a tracker to track my sleep, steps, and occasionally, heart rate. The Inspire II does a pretty good job in those areas. Though I have to say heart rate monitoring is the weakest among the three. The biggest pet peeve I have with the Inspire II is the charger; the cord is short and the cup is way too long and difficult to remove after charging. Other than that, I think it's a good fitness tracker for its price, even in the beginning of 2023. Just my two cents.

In your honest opinion, which mid-grade tracker (fitbit) gives you the most for your money? Or non-fitbit as well. Great video, however Fitbit dominates the market and the fact that Google owns it now makes it more attractive to the consumer.

Hi Spooky! Step 1: pinch screen to wake it up; 2) swipe down till you see the settings app (gear), tap into it; 3) scroll down to screen saying "clear user data"; 4) tap on it; 5) tap and hold for 3sec. That will reset the band and you will need to set it up from scratch - this !usually! gets rid of most problems...
