In a fit such as H7/h6, what would happen if the hole comes in MMC (smallest) and the Shaft/Pin comes in at MMC (biggest) as well. Is there an unspoken rule in the workshop such as a Shaft/Pin should never be made at MMC. Always remove another...0.002 - 0.003? And what are the possibilities that a Hole will come in at MMC (at lower limit).

How do you fix the zero line? Why should the zero line not be there at the bottom of the shaft?
@shrikrishi
@shrikrishi 7 жыл бұрын
Zero line means no deviation from the basic size. Right now size increases at upward direction but if you take at bottom of shaft as basic size and zero line then size will increase in downward direction. And fundamental deviation curves will exchange position and so on..... Please watch the video again. You will get it. Thank you

one question , how can we fit shaft in hole in interference fit?
@shrikrishi
@shrikrishi 7 жыл бұрын
as in case of interference fit diameter of shaft always greater than diameter of hole , we need to increase diameter of hole by indirect heating (to avoid changes in material property of the hole, for example heating a bearing in oil bath) enough to enter the shaft and locate on defined position. or in some cases we use liquid nitrogen to shrink shaft diameter so that it will enter the hole and locate at its position.
@shrikrishi
@shrikrishi 7 жыл бұрын
by expanding (increasing) the hole diameter using indirect heating methods mostly and if interference is less then just applying force. nole: on shft end there will be chamfer to ensure location in the hole.
@chakravarthyk2456
@chakravarthyk2456 6 жыл бұрын
By applying pressure with huge amount of applied force to shaft by forcefully forcing into hole so as to make sure that shaft holds tight with hole and minimise vibration while working

Can who clear up for me these following question? please! -Based on which basis we choose the appropriate tolerance? In addition to basics such as: +Tolerance system of the hole, shaft + Assembly type:( clearance, transition, interference) -I have the assembly between the hole with the shaft, the nominal diameter 20. But there are three cases happened: Case 1: Both hole and shaft are plastic. Case 2: Both hole and shaft are metal. Case 3: One of the two parts is metal and another is plastic. So, what difference in the above three cases when we choose the tolerance for them?
@shrikrishi
@shrikrishi 6 жыл бұрын
1st of all it depends on Purpose of assembly Magnitude of load Type of load (radial, axial etc.....) Then size of job. In the questions you asked when material of construction is plastic it is clear that load is minimum. So it will depend on type of load & purpose of assembly.
@sonhaiphan80
@sonhaiphan80 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for answered my questions, about the second question sorry but I don't still understand so much. Do you have any document explant how to choose the correct tolerance of the assembly has the different material? Thanks again!
