Perfectly presented. This was the most intimidating part of starting to use a flintlock for me. Put me off making the change for a couple years but when I finally did it didn't take much practice to come to terms with how it works. Took about a week firing 5-10 shots a day at a target, changing the flint for every shot, to get confident enough that I would be able to make it work in the field if necessary.

In Pennsylvania we call a reproduction a bench riffle or bench fowler. Great job explaining how to fit flint to a lock left handed. Good tip on how to Knapp, I've never seen it before.

Glad to see you back again, nice pistol, I pray you and your family are all doing well, I've been using just my Bess Carbine this last year, took a grouse and 2 rabbits last summer, didn't even bother with turkey or Big Game this year, hopefully next year.. Merry Christmas ...

Thanks Keith, you do the same. Crazy hard to do living in a world with deadly viruses, etc. I love how the old timers figured all this stuff out, love how tough they were. I physically wouldn’t last a farting spell if life was hard today like the pioneer days, my body wouldn’t stand it anymore, injuries, pain, fibromyalgia are kicking my butt. I used to be strong and Tuff growing up, had a small green house, large gardens, canned and froze vegetables . That’s how I know how hard it is, lol
