Must be a nightmare getting stuff delivered to stick to reasonable timescales - I get caught up waiting for stuff all the time and I'm within next-day delivery distance from all the main suppliers! And only two vehicles to sort out not loads. Anyway. Thanks for the vids again :) Always handy to check up on the how-to. Love the raccoon background :D

Thanks! 50 Kg cost me £240 + import fees - Unless you ship by containers there is no money in retailing parts In the last 30 years I have seen many Land Rover parts sellers come and go in Canada There are not enough vehicles to warrant large inventory, and part suppliers like Paddocks are on very tight margins - but have volume I may have to sell the Raccoon! LOL! Mike

74 Series SWB doors. I can weld and fabricate pretty good. I started looking at door frame bottoms and skins. Maybe an after market galvanized door makes sense. Lots of places to shop. Any recommended.

Looking good so far. Is waxoyl really that bad? back when I was in the (classic) mini scene, that seemed to be the go-to stuff. But I've now seen a few different videos about dinitrol, and wondering if this would be much better when I eventually get around to restoring my own mini.

Dinitrol is the best in my opinion as it really creeps - we now have similar in Canada Waxoyl did creep when it was fresh - but not as far as Dinitrol Mike

Re the rust-by-design they really were incompetent weren't they! Shamefully poor design on the small-scale, and really never did get any better - the TD5s at least were just as badly thought out, and cost-cutting e.g. on not galvanising cappings etc ridiculous. And people wonder why every market transitioned to Toyotas etc... Never mind, all part of why we love them eh?

I know what you mean - the could have had a killer product with a bit of hindsight But the rot set in when Land Rover was the only division in BL that was making money, so they churned them out cheap Clever design ruined by accountants Mike
