@@dublincarclub6456 but the racing exhaust is no ECC approval, is any problem with that?

@@ekkeruf it depends what country you are in and the laws around testing. In Ireland for the NCT test it should pass ok because the OPF is still in place, it technically has a back box and it would pass a decibels test. It is a bit of a grey area though so will have to wait and see

Hi Jon, The best way i could describe it is it makes the original sound of the car more lively.The pops are quite loud but It isn't an exhaust that you will necessarily notice is an aftermarket system unless you are pushing it. When driving in eco mode on the motorway etc you would hardly notice its there but in sport etc it makes a much richer sound then standard

Thanks InorganicCash ! 1) You potentially could but it would be a bit of work. The stock tips are welled on to the old tail pipes so you would have to cut them off and then weld them on to the new exhaust tail pipes. I didn’t originally have the same thought but decided I wanted to keep the original exhaust all in one piece. The Remus ones bolt on no welding is needed. 2) unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to hear the sports version I do know it is resonated so imagine it would pop a lot less and be a bit quieter. One thing I would say about the race system is I was surprised how well the sound chamber works at eliminating the drone noise you would normally get from a straight though at low revs driving

I actually ordered the car on the 1st of December 2020 so at the time the edition 45 didn’t exist. I think even now though after hearing the the edition 45 with the Akrapovic on videos I’d still stick with the normal clubsport and go with an aftermarket system, would still work out a bit cheaper and more then likely sound better.

I have just bought the remus racing for my 2020 mk8 GTI - completely transformed the sound. and its not ridiculously loud. as for the drone, i've probably only done about 300 ish miles in it atm and i have to be honest. with the smaller back box at the back, i don't notice any drone what so ever. has a very nice deep tone to it. ive heard that it should get a bit louder at 2000 miles in which im quite interested to see.

@@DM-fn7je only the exhaust you have taken off. Cant say your engine is recked cos of the exhaust cos they have to prove it the exhaust was the problem
