FITTING NEW EXHAUST TO MY NEW CAR!! - PERFORMANCE MODS

3 жыл бұрынToday I am fitting a new exhaust to my new car for one of my first performance mods! The guys from Jetex Exhausts kindly sent out this awesome performance exhaust system for my new Kia Ceed GT. The exhaust sizes up the pipe to 3" from the cat, deletes a resonator and replaces the stock back box with a sports one. The exhaust gives the car a nice new fruitier note on the pipe and absolutely no drone at any speeds when cruising. Drives perfectly!

Worth mentioning that exhausts are quieter when first fitted and get louder over the first week or so.

Nicely done dude! One thing I'd say, I'd be fitting those exhaust clamps so the bolts are above the exhaust rather than below. That way if (when! Lol) you lower it, they don't clang over speed humps.

It’s a cat back system. So upgraded from the catholic converter to the back

Loads of advice on here lol High flow cat complete the system with 3" downpipes etc all very nice 👌 but I would currently only do 2 things .. get a k&n panel filter that fits in the stock air box and 2nd get that map checked as you have altered a couple things 😀 Nice car ..cant see a tow bar for Dem bikes Though 😕

Sounds very quiet compared to the custom 3" catback system with dual high flow cannon mufflers i had installed on Wednesday. I can hear your radiator/intercooler in this video more than the exhaust. Sounds stock. Maybe it's better in real life?

that "resonator box thing" is the catalytic converter 😂 have a full turbo back custom system on my 2014 pro ceed gt tech

I had a tuning box on there but it caused me too many issues so I returned it. Won’t name and shame the brand but it was pretty ridiculous given how much it cost. Going for a real remap today actually!

Power went to about 260 although I never dyno'd and did more mods after so could be more. Got it done by BMS near me :)

I've got a Kia Ceed GT as well with a downpipe and a custom exhaust. I want to tune it and take it to stage 3, it'd be great if I could have a preview of how it's going to end up.

I have a Proceed GT Tech. Stage 3 is a lot of money and you won’t see over 300bhp. If you’re based in the UK speak to the guys at The Tuning Society in Reading.

Sure! Whereabouts you based because there’s a few places that’ll do it. I went Stage 2 so I’ve done a few extra bits since this vid, should be sitting at 260/270 now. Stage 2 is quite difficult to find though, a standard map should see 230-240

it’s well good! Different car completely it’s really nice. Competes with loads of the ‘quick’ hot hatches with ease. All you’ll need is to decat or sports cat, and then I blew up my stock diverter valve so bought a Forge one and it’s running all good now. They say you need an intercooler now but I’ve been running it without because I’m waiting on the order and it’s been running fine 👍🏼 there’s a place closer to South Wales than where I got mine done that’ll do it. @Warped Sounds been tuned for over 10000 miles and not had one issue, the internals are good till just over 300hp anything over your talking forged. Few other boys have been mapped to 280+bhp with no issues at all just depends who’s tuning it or not. Ecotune do love mapping on rolling road and are pretty much top tuners in the whole of the UK
