*Disclaimer - I am not qualified in vehicle wiring and sound systems*
However, I did watch several videos online and thought it was worth giving it a shot myself and saving myself some money. I'm sure many of you that watch this will know more than I do and if so please feel free to share in the comments.
They might not be the best speakers but it's made the world of difference to the sound quality in my van and I love them, best £40 I have spent in a while!

Nice one Matty. Nothing just plugs straight in and works haha. Yeah I don't know why they have to mess around and change the wire colours. Found that out with solar cables, both were black haha.

My doors resonates as hell so I have rebuild my Movano. Maybe a sub underneath the seat and take away low hz from the doors

Amazing what a difference an upgrade of soeakers makes! 🙌 Just so you know in future, the amount of current passing through speaker wires is very low and not enough to shock you.

Huge difference, especially for someone who has Spotify on almost 24/7 😂 Aw thank you, I did realise too that without the ignition on there would be no current as the sound system isn't powered. Thanks for the tip though 👍

My doors resonates as hell so I have rebuild my Movano. Maybe a sub underneath the seat and take away low hz from the doors. But I have to detach the whole plastic panel on the doors… but good to fill it with insulation also

Ta for this. My Movano speakers have begun to make a weird noise and I'm guessing they're damaged so this will help me loads as I'm useless at DIY unless I've seen someone tackle it.

Might be worth checking the connections first? It takes seconds to lift the speakers out. Just before you go buying new ones. Also is it just when you use your phone to play music or is it the radio and every other media source? Just worth being sure it's the speakers ☺

@deanattard-sq6bi afriad I don't know mate. I know the same rules will likely apply though, need to check the number or mounting holes and speaker size.

isnt a bit overkill to disconnect the battery ?

Possibly, but after wiring my campervan build it's habit to always disconnect. Still yet to get an electric shock and I think I'll keep it that way 😅

12v isn't the issue, the amperage that a van battery can put out is what will suck. In this case, but yes, because the wires are thin and my skin is dry so the risk is super small if not zero - again basically just habit (plus I have three leisure batteries in the back of the van so I'll always isolate whatever I'm working on).

It's mad how much speakers vary in cars and vans. Some cheap cars have massive bassy systems and others sound like an iPhone played through a beer can 🤷‍♂️
