That looks like a great installation, but I notice the doors aren't shown open, that's going to be a very tight squeeze getting in. I assume only from the right hand side.

Thanks, both sides of doors open and we have enough room to walk in both sides, we were governed by the size of our hallway and it just worked out fine.

Do you have to get the top and bottom pieces of wood level before attaching the aluminium runner frame ? What's the best way to level these off if the floor and ceiling runs off ?

Yes would have to get them both level, they can simply be packed up with window wedge packets and screwed into the floor and ceiling to hold in place

I'd expect you could do, i've personally never fitted them, I'd check with the supplier and if they don't sell them than search for a goos locksmith merchant that should be able to help

Do you need to remove carpet before installing the down sliding track?

No not if your planning on keeping the carpet and its fitted firmly well.

@@MrandMrsDIY Surely there's a danger the carpet will shift or compress? It only has to be a bit and doors won't run smoothly

@@MegaCityPatrol We've never had problem with carpets shifting if there fitted well, and then the base track holds it down as its fixed though the carpet to the floor board below with screws

Really appreciate the other aspects of the 'how to video' but I was looking for info on how to fit the actual doors which is why I looked at your "fitting sliding wardrobe doors", would you agree that you didn't show the actual doors being fitted? I'm still a big fan and thank you for all the hard work.
