Your rendering of this story is outstanding. You stuck to the essentials both in terms of drawing and storytelling. The moments you chose to focus on are particularly significant. I didn't dare to watch the whole video before I finished reading Fool's Fate. Luckily Hobb has published one more trilogy about Fitz and the Fool since you did your cartoon and the story goes on past Aslevjal Island. I have just started reading Fool's Assassin and I am enjoying it. Thank you for sharing your vision of the story with the rest of Hobb's readers.

I am so impressed at the effort you went to just to make this, and I was so moved by it. More than anything I wanted a better ending for Fitz and the Fool than that. That book breaks my heart every time.

OMG I LOVE THIS VID SM U DID SO WELL! i love it bc it traces all the importance moments between the fool and fitz and it warmed my heart sm bc the fool is my faaaaav character of all time and all i want is him being happy with the person he loves most. omggg u did so well by putting this scene when fitz goes to the ice cave to go get the fool this was really one of the most emotional scene for me THANK YOU for ur work!!! also that's not really the end of fitz and the fool's story, there's the fool's assassin after :))

I love the way you drew Fitz! You know, for such a simplistic style of drawing, you've really captured the way I invisage him. AWESOME!!! I think I've watched this about six times in a row now. It's really made my day. I've spent the past week re-reading Robin Hobb's books, and I'm half-way through Ship of Magic - but I'm dreading getting to the last book of The Tawny Man trilogy because I know I'll be heart-broken (again)! But I think this will help me cope. Thanks so much for posting this! :-)

@Remilando No that was right, but I always imagined them as kind of like llamas I guess. Still, considering all they carried they would have to be fairly large.

Oh... my... god... That nearly brought me to tears. Very nearly. I didn't cry throughout the books at all, but this... Was just like reliving it all anew, condensed and vivified. There are no words to thank you enough for making it. I've no idea how much time went into this, but every single minute was worth it, rest assured.

The 3rd and last series about fitz and fool is finished now. Will u ever add it to the Video? Would be a finished masterpiece.^^

As far as the Tawny Man and Farseer trilogies are concerned, I believe he's a man too. The strongest argument is that before Fitz brought him back to life, he undressed him to clean his body. And he didn't make any comment on what he saw. Hence, the Fool must have been a man, just like Fitz believed, or he would have said something about it ;) I'm going to the library tomorrow. To fetch "The ship of magic" =)

@Freesibs Actually, what would be more interesting is if (for some reason) Fitz used the skill to prolong his life, Kettle/Kestrel did. Then he would outlive Molly, and the Fool could come back, since he always seems to around the major points in his life. They could even have Dutiful feature in it, seeing as if Fitz could do it so could Dutiful. And Nettle.
