Hello pat, what your advice to trading this breakout strategy at different time zone when us market open and close, should i use buy stop?

Pat is not a huge user of Buy Stops, but I am; however, I use them when the market is trending nicely and not fraught with whippy/choppy fits 'n starts. When the market is trending nicely, choose a stock with a clean and simple base pattern; choose one where your stoploss can be set at a level that makes sense (in other words: don't choose a stock where your stop loss is too far away). I set my Buy Stop with a contingent OCO order; that way when my Buy Stop fires, two orders are placed, one for a partial sell into strength and another for a exit should the stock price break down and fail. Work with it in papertrade until you get the order placement strategy down. Hope that helps. ~Owen
