The problem with kids at a metal concerts, in my experience, is they grow up having an appreciation for good music and turn out to be cool.....

everyone complaining about there being children at metal/rock shows, I don't see the problem.. I'd say it's good parenting to let your kids come with you to a show.

he wasn't mad. he was joking. and he brought children up on the stage all the time. it was part of the show. he did that in other ones too

All these people complaining about kids being around swearing. So bringing your kids to a metal concert where they teach you to respect each other and allow you to express yourself is wrong but letting your kids twerk to some song about sex on the tv is perfectly acceptable? I personally would bring my kids to a metal show. I'd make sure they were safe and away from the pits but as for swearing they will learn those word eventually. A good parent doesn't forbid or stop their kids from ever learning bad behaviour. A good parent teaches the child when it is appropriate and when it is not acceptable. Simple as that. Instead of trying to hide your kids from everything they will eventually pick up teach them that there is a time and place! Simples

He does this at a lot of his shows. Best one I’ve seen was at ROTR He brung up all kinds of kids and this one lil girl maybe 8 sung every word to the song and danced jumping up and down the entire time. It was awesome lol

Heavy metal and kids, gotta love it. I saw ffdp in KCMO a few years ago, did a "sing along" with 15 kids ages 8-14 to Remember Everything, also did the same Burn mf routine with Tommy Vext from Bad Wolves, fuckin spine chills to this day

I grew up with Pantera tattooed on my back when I was 2 months shy of 12yo an have loved metal since I can remember. It's not a trend or a gang or some summer fling that never worked out. It's love, anger, frustration, life, hope, forgiveness!! No kid would use this against the world in a heart beat if they were showed the proper demeaning of how to treat another being same as then. I took my kids to rock and metal shows since they were six. Today my son is in management, one daughter is going to be teacher, and my other daughter is a groomer. Not bad for going up in a house of music and the rush of live shows. Keep your kids safe, but don't shelter them. Live life mother fuckers.

To all these people talking bad about kids being there listening to this music....wtf???? Like most kids these days listen to “rap” or whatever rap has become and all it talks about is doing drugs, having sex with women, and much worse. So yes If I had kids I would much rather have them here where songs are much more meaningful with actually story’s of life a lot of us have been through. Thank you for the time. Peace!!!

I am curious, how exactly do bands pick people to walk up on stage and perform? Do the fans hold up signs saying "I want to play guitar, drums, etc." and those people are picked, or are they picked at random? Are only the people who are standing next to the stage chosen?

All the people in here commenting on how the kid shouldn't be an this kind of concert, kids today listen to the new age "rap" and I see a crap load of completely dumb kids who have zero clue about life or reality outside there phones and little clicks and are quiet disrespectful, and I see kids who's parents brought them up on the newer stuff like 5 finger and papa roach and they are some of the most respectful and helpful people. Yes it's loud yes it's sometimes vulgar and violent but somehow it teaches kids good things. I grew up on papa roach, disturbed, 5 finger, and I go out of my way and even put myself in situations I have no business being in because someone needs help and I'm one of the few willing to help even to the point of putting myself in a worse situation to help another.

Metal kids end up being brought up way better than rap kids and country kids. Metal kids (the ones I know) don't swear much or act out. Rap and country kids swear every chance they get. Rap kids are the worse, acting like they're 22 when they're like 13.
