i am using it to apologize to my father for not showing him the love... we was taught to do so ... but i miss him , and from the bottom of my heart i want to say sorry for being harsh , angry , uneasy when he was sick ... he knew he fell ... i've seened him stilll as my dad , iron dad that will never left me ... but he did , and i am sorry i didn't saw it :(

@@winterhear My dad was very hard on his first three sons (I was one of those sons, there are six of us), by today’s standards he would be called abusive. In his final year he became the best dad ever. For decades after he died I hated him for that... why couldn’t he have given the child the best years? Took a lot of pain and time to figure it out, almost cost me my wife. He did what he could with what he had. He made me and my oldest brother tough, it was discipline... that’s how we rationalized it. He didn’t know but I do so my daughter gets the best of what my dad could pass to me without the bad. She’s growing up without the baggage I carried, she has her own burdens which me and my wife help her through... but not carry her through them. Take care. Keep the good memories close. Learn from the bad ones.

@@WRMonger1 yeah my dad was very demanding too , but i would never call his attitude abusive , even by today's standards. (i think ..) He was very careful to taught us money management , which he did well as i look to my bank account lol :D. Also put emphasis on education. He was strict on this as well. We got a big argument and we ended up with a deal that he stops caring about my school progress and i promised him i graduate. His proudness and acknowledgement when i graduated was the most satisfying memory for me :).

For people who are confused by the video and the names that appear in it: This song is about Moody's alcohol addiction, he's "apologising" to all his heroes/inspirations who passed away due to addiction and how it's took him so long to realise what he's doing to himself and not learning from their mistakes.
@TheIz93

It takes something huge to really realize the change you need to make. Some of us aren't use to change at all, we get stuck in this loop of addiction and can't get out. Until something gets in the way. This song is strong.

Tried fighting my addiction to alcohol for the last 4 years or so... couldn't stop. Tried and tried. It took getting a 3rd DWI to open my eyes and even then it's a battle everyday because it's everywhere. I had all the support and just never listened because I felt no one knew the pain I was going through deep down. Sometimes, yeah, you don't know why people do the stupid things they do. It's all just pain. And you feel so alone except the one thing that's always there, your drug. I'm lucky I didn't hurt anyone all those times. I did hurt feelings and disappointed others. I lost jobs. I lost money and control of who I was. But I fight everyday to be myself and finally not give into my feelings from those who gave me the reason to make those mistakes.

For the narrow minded people that wonder where the name of other non-mentioned famous artists are, that is NOT the point of this video/song. This is about Ivan's alcoholism being buried & the names that were shown were individuals that had issues with addiction and or alcohol and drugs.

When your head is in a dark place like this, it's comforting and surreal to have a voice that relates so deeply to you, you have to fight, get up, dust yourself off and never fucking give up. No matter how low you are and how much it hurts get up and fight for your health and your own mental well being and fuck anyone who put you in that hole. Sometimes you have to learn to (as the song says) accept who you've become and let go of the past.

Well considering this song is about his alcohol addiction and struggles to get sober, yea, he had no choice but to be emotional about it. Also, just look at all the other famous rockers graves, Bon Scott, Scott Weiland, Layne Stayley, Elvis, John Bonham, Kurt Cobain, and the rest, they all died from either alcohol or drugs. Bon's death was totally accidental. He choked on his own vomit after a night out binge drinking in Camdentown in London.

@@johnathansandlin6771 I already responded to another persons comment regarding that question, but I'll say again. He had just left home and I just talked to him about 3 minutes beforehand. He was heading down a backroad (we leave in the middle of nowhere in Kentucky), but him and his girlfriend were heading towards the highway to go bowling. About two miles down this said road, a man that was highly intoxicated from drinking at UK game swerved over into his lane, completely crushing the front end of his car, and killing him and his girlfriend instantly. He was 17, and his girlfriend was 15. But yeah, that's how it happened. The police report hasn't been sent out yet because the State PD guys refuse to touch the case because of how sensitive it for this county at the moment. But the shit of all this is that the guy and his wife that crashed into my brother and his girlfriend, yeah they survived with minor injuries and a few fractured ribs. Like, what the fuck is all I have to say about it.

This song nearly got me crying - I've fought alcoholism several times, I've been clean for a long while. I fought a mental addiction to anti-nauseas that rot your teeth away. And now my biggest one, longest one, has been xanax - I've lost my mind from it at least twice from withdrawals, had grand mal seizures I didn't think I'd come back from. Right now it may be necessary for my fucked nervous system and CPTSD but it will always be a life goal to get off of xanax. Major support to him, I'm proud of anyone who can take on their addictions, especially something as severe as alcoholism.

This song and video can mean one of a few things. First, he's apologizing to all the fans (Ivan specifically is) for his drug problem. Now it could either mean, with the grave, that he knows his time is running short if he keeps up the way he has been. Or with the flask being tossed in the grave it means he's going to kick his addictions and get back on his feet to keep making music.

shoutout to every man listening to it right now dreading over everything you've done and not done. The people who made wrong choices that ultimately resulted in you feeling like a monster to other people. And yourself. Some of us said evil things to people, some of us turned away people who were good to us, some of us simply put all the wrong values over the actually meaningful ones. You are not alone, Im here with you, with another bottle of vodka facing the real me, in tears for all the life lessons I watched but I never really listened. And the other 135mln views prove that we are not alone facing that feeling right now... We Apologize for what we have become To people, friends, family, and ourselves...
