Love wild blackberries!! We kept coffee cans in the trunk of the car and if my mom saw them on the side of the road we stopped and picked them. Oh how good blackberry jam and cobblers era are.

Chrissy, good job finding all those berries. You, and your husband remind me of me, and my husband. For the 1st time in years we had a copperhead snake at dinner time tonight between my truck, and the utv chilling on the gravel driveway. I kept praying our outside cat wouldn't mess with it. The cat was under the truck watching it. I bring the snake up because you're walking around in the bushes, and reaching in with your hands. I'd be worried about snakes .

Blackberries and my favorite wild sand plums are chigger magnets, at least around the plants. Someone else can do it. I will buy the sand plum jelly from others.

Hey Chrissy! I'm so excited for your blackberries!! We have a large area by our entrance. I have about 5 qt bags that Ive picked over the past couple of weeks. I froze them. Can I still make jam even though they have been in the freezer?

Yes!! That’s what I’m Doing too!! I washed them soaked in salt water, to sed, let them drip dry over night in the fridge, the. Put on a cookie tray in the freezer.
