Hey I would love you to do blind faith’s I can’t find my way home. That live version with Clapton playing a tele at London Hyde park 1969. I love the guitar in that version. ✌️

Hi Mike. Brilliant as usual. Yes! I have a request. Could you do Early in the morning, from my favourite Clapton blues album Nothing but the blues. I think it just encapsulates his amazing phrasing and musicality.

Hey man, I am new to your channel. Excellent stuff, very impressive. I found your channel after searching for "steppin out" and then saw you have lots of cool content. Love your playing man. I'm a solid intermediate player / recreational player and have been playing off and on for many years. I had this particular clapton album when I was in in college (many many years ago) and always loved this tune, as well as groaning the blues. His playing of this album is so great. My favorite players are Clapton, SRV, and Slash ( i realize one doesnt quite fit!). Looking forward to checking out more of your content. I also subscribed Also I prefer your LP tone to his strat tone!

Man! I just finished watching this vid, very nice indeed. I love your playing man, very smooth and have the great blues feel / attitude. I am gonna sit down and learn some of these phrases and licks later. Clapton's blues is just class man. I have been very focused on legato and fast licks (because I neglected it growing up), but watching this makes me want to get back to these types of licks and phrases. Exceptional

Well done 👌 and what a great performance by Clapton on From the Cradle ..Jeff Beck says he was blown away the first time he heard Eric play it in the 60s ..As a blues fan from the 60s , and keeping abreast of every decade since it annoys me to see the bagging Eric gets from nobodys who have to denigate him , when blues greats like BB , Buddy Guy , Gary Moore and a host of others acclaim him as a musical milestone ... Joe Bloggs knows better ..

How do you get that tone on your guitar? I notice you have it switched to the middle possition. How did you set your volume and tone controls on both pickups?
@mikebrookfieldАй бұрын
I don't remember exactly.. but I spend most of my time on a LP on bridge pickup.. I learn towards the middle & neck as I want things cleaner... that's prob what I did here as wouldn't want it too heavy sounding for this ..
