3 ай бұрынThis week I talk about the Chained Oak of Alton and the stories surrounding it. If you visited Alton Towers you may have been on the ride "Hex: Legend of the Towers" which was based on this very story. But even without the stories, the large oak covered in chains is an odd thing to see.

Been here many times living not too far away... when I was in my 30s every branch was still intact and linked to each other with the large iron chains... they began to fall about 25 years ago I'd say... they've obviously been on for a very long time as they're ingrown. It's a great story thankyou for retelling it so well... 😊

It's a lovely walk round there as well. Although it is pretty much 95% mud at the moment
