I use an alternative idea to flatten papers that are warped (for whatever reason) - I have an old fashioned 5# iron (the kind people used to have to heat on the stove, not electric) that I bought at an auction many, many years ago. I put the warped paper on a flat surface, cover it with an acrylic block or even a clear die cut machine plate (depending on the size of the paper) and put the iron on top of it. I could even use your book trick, putting the paper inside the pages and the iron on top of the closed book. Works a charm and the extra weight makes it work quite quickly. I'm really enjoying your videos!

Very cool tips. I keep my clothespin clipped to the cord of my heat gun, so it’s always handy.

so fun and useful. I use a lint roller to clean the floor under my table. found a LOT of tiny clear stamps that way. I also use it instead of the purple tape to clean up die cuts.

Great idea! I have started using a lint roller to clean off my embossing mats before I emboss something because they always seem to pick up dirt and debris!

OMG! Brilliant! 🌟💡🌟 Why didn’t I ever think of using the powder tool on my sticky fingers? Also, this will be great when placing layering stamps! Thanks for showing the book flattening technique...it’s way better than running through the die cutting machine and no chance of ruining your card with impressions from scratched plates. Thanks for always cracking me up! 😂😂😂

Great tips!! I especially loved the one where you de-stick your fingers! I had never thought of that and I've actually had that happen to me many times while trying to place a stamp perfectly in position!

Holding your stamp sentiment in place with a pencil eraser works too. Eraser end of pencil doesn’t stick to the stamp and keeps your positioning

Love the de-hairing a die cut tip! I've got a set of dies that I never use because of the 'hairs'. I've even scrubbed the die cuts with a toothbrush to no avail. Thank you. The embossing pad tip is great too.

I never thought of de-hairing my die cuts but you made me a believer. Then you can use the tape to hold your dies down for the Gemini because no matter what I do it ALWAYS sticks to my paper

I missed these life hack videos in June and July, but I'm so glad to have found them. So many great tips - well, 10 or so to be exact, but seriously simple and incredibly helpful. True confession: die cut hair had kind of been ruining my enjoyment of using dies, but no more! Thank you. :)

I particularly like the method for removing "paper hairs" from die cuts. I had never noticed them until I recently started using more intricate dies. I tried to pick them off by hand or with a craft pick, but your purple tape hack is so much more efficient!

I keep a lint roller in my craft room. Good for die cut hairs, stray glitter, embossing powder. Great tips.

Love these! My hack is you can buy a big bundle of clothspins at the Dollar Store. My husband loves to use them for clipping shut chip bags.

Thanks for the laughs and the tips! I had a "DUH" moment when you used the purple tape to 'de-hair' the die cut. Why didn't I ever think of that??? It's my all-time favorite tip now because I would spend all kinds of time scraping off those pesky pieces. Thank you so, so much!

Thank you. I love these types of videos. And after watching the one where you take tape to “dehair” (is there such a word?) the die cuts I think to myself: “why have I never thought of that in all the years I have been crafting?” I have to admit those “hairs” on the die cuts have always annoyed me and I would take a soft bristle dry paint brush or my Spellbinder die cut brush to roll them away but the tape is a much better idea. It is the little things like this that bring joy to my life. Thanks again!

Love, love, love swatching! You’re right, it absolutely changes how creative you can get. I do that with all my ink and markers. And I find I’m able to use different combinations because of it.
