okay, so if you dont play fnaf.. william afton clearly loved to kill kids, he'd stuff them into the animatronic suits and they become possessed, he then gets springlocked in the suit like you saw at the ending, but in the games, he becomes springtrap. basically he is still alive as his rotten flesh is still inside the suit and his catchphrase is "I always come back"

You didn't know the animatronics were inhabited by the spirits of children. It is part of the lore of the games. You do have to play more than just the first FNAF game to get it. Definitely play at least the first game, though.

I watched this knowing nothing about this franchise or the games, I watched it because my short king Josh Hutchinson is in it 😍🥰 when I was a teenager I made a tumblr account dedicated to Peeta Mellark 🤣😂 Also Matthew Lillard! He's my favourite too, second favourite ghost face though, after Jill I actually loved this movie! It's just pure fun and vibes! I love the nostalgia feel of the film

About the relationship between the animatronics: Not much is certain, since they are some of the oldest models and far before humans understood they had any conscience. However, thanks to Glamrock Freddy and the other animatronics from Security Breach, we can have a good idea about it, even when it's about how the oldest animatronics were and how their friendship worked. Long text, so, let's go: According to Glamrock Freddy, Glamrock Bonnie is his best friend, and it looks like their friendship is something that repeated in almost all generations of the series. In Sister Location, for example, Funtime Freddy had a little Bonnie (called Bon Bon) with him all the time (acting almost like his little angel in his shoulder, calming him every time he turned too maniac and trying to give advices). There is also a certain instance where we can see Freddy's and Bonnie's friendship in FNAF2, where Toy Bonnie (the only "Bonnie" model after Springtrap no other animatronic seem to like) started to bully Freddy on many of his voice lines, and we can see Bonnie progressively getting more and more irritated. The amount of fanarts of Bonnie trying to murder Toy Bonnie flooded the internet. There is even a rumor about a secret scene (very hard to happen, I never saw it myself, so, can't confirm if it's true or not, sorry), where if you look at the right camera, at the right momment, the two of them are too close, and Freddy is also in the room, Bonnie would appear strangling and shaking Toy Bonnie like a rag doll. I honestly hope this is true, because it would be HILARIOUS! Apparently, Chica is friendly to basically everyone. On Security Breach, her personality is the classic teenage girl who loves to eat and make new friends. She is joyful, friendly, loves to cook, is kind of an airhead, but very cute. The kind of friend everyone loves to have around. In many medias, she's the first one to try and be friendly to Foxy, would give him pizza and everything. At the same time, she can be very scary when angry. On Ruin (Security Breach's DLC), however, she turns very depressed, lost her voice and literally eats trash in compulsion. It was strange, because I really hated her since the first FNAF, but honestly? It was very, VERY sad to see her like that. Foxy is kind of a loner, and his model is, since forever, very different from the other animatronics'. He's not part of their band, but a storyteller and curiously, he is the one who would handle the younger kids (even with his many sharp parts, he's actually very patient and kind to them. The proof? Just look at Mangle in FNAF2). He's very perceptive, the only animatronic who has an actual, intentional weapon (his hook), and knows very well how to use it, so, we can suppose he's the one with the mission of fighing if needed. There are some instances where it looks like he and Freddy are bumping heads (for example, in all animations and comics in the games and even the movie, Foxy is portrayed as Freddy's "villain"), but they're also great friends. Foxy and Bonnie also look like very good friends in many different medias. They even shared the same stage at one point. In FNAF 2, the four of them stayed together in the services room, never leaving one of them truly alone for too much time. I think it was very cute.

When I was a kid I had this thing about anything (be it an animatronic, a doll etc.) that had anything remotely resembling a face where if other kids were scared of it or being rough with it I would quietly apologize to it and like fix it up or stand it up and stuff because I was convinced that its feelings were hurt and then FNAF came around to let me know I had absolutely no chance of survival as a 7 year old lmao

Just like the other comments have said, those kids represent the animatronics. The kid who slashed at Mike possessed Foxy.

Loved this movie as a huge fnaf fan. From the youtuber cameos, the way i yelled BECK when vanessa showed up, all the easter eggs, matthew being daddy, and above all the animatronics are spectacular. Been waiting for a reaction and this is the first ive seen. Hope they make more ❤

I and the whole FNAF community have been waiting a long time for this movie and boy was it worth it The love and care that went into it is incredible The animatronics looked absolutely amazing I knew they'd be really good when I heard the Jim Henson creature workshop would be handling them because I've grown up watching movies that feature their work such as DARK CRYSTAL and LABYRINTH and the muppets of course But the animatronics looked even better than I expected As a long time five nights at Freddy's fan I love this movie Oh and the game lore is kinda vague and open to interpretation That's part of the fun

If you guys are really gonna get into FNAF you gotta know that the actual lore is different than the lore in the movie...the actual franchise lore is way darker and way more complicated. I recommend reacting FNAF songs and MatPat game theory. 😁

The lore is the yellow rabbit, guy who took his brother is a child killer his name is Afton.. he hid the boddies in the suits yes even ad the restaurant was open they were in there.. the kids are trapped angry.. the purple rabbit bonnie.. is garret. It's in the books too. All of it.. and the games.. as afton found out he was being haunted.. he hid in the yellow rabbit suit the springs killed him that's why afton is possession of the suit. When he was alive u used the suit to lure kids. It's a sad lore but all cannon and true to fnaf!!

The 8bit minigame was due to the minigames in the game, those are what showed the most lore

You should so check out the lore for FNAF, it's confusing as hell but Game Theories Matpat made a timeline series not too long ago about the start of Freddies, the killing spree of William Afton and his fate. It's a very interesting story and the movie universe is very different to the games, for example in the game Michael is Williams eldest son and more. Oh everyone knew Matthew was the villain before the movie came out, he was literally listed in the cast as 'William Afton' and we could jsut tell he'd be William. William is like a Stu Macher but incredibly intelligent and scheming. The entire story of FNAF is basically, 2 guys make a restaurant to show their passions of entertaining, one is a bit of a psycho crazy killer and his trail of blood and death never ends as he seeks the answer to immortality.

Nice to have a review from someone who's never played the game, as I haven't as well. I enjoyed it for the most part. It wasn't scary. More of a thriller. I really liked the missing kids story line, and the main characters. They could've taken out the animatronic characters, and i really wouldn't have noticed. I didn't notice the rating prior to watching. The only thing I didn't really like, is I thought it would be scarier. Maybe a longer movie that had the missing kids story line, and then they ended up at Freddy's, and then really spent time being chased and killed off. So the "babysitter" and her cronies would've come in at that part. Like Willy's Wonderland? I don't know! It was cool. I'd watch it again.

A lot of the story for this movie was taken from some of the games. The little brother story line is not in the game. the character Josh plays is. I think he's only in part one. you play as the character. you have to figure out ways to survive every night to win. you do this by watching the monitors and other things. Mathew Lillards character is in the game and is basically the same. the character of Vanessa is different, she's later revealed to be part of a cult is also a serial killer. but I think she's also the daughter of the main bad guy. who does keep coming back. several character from later games are not in the movie so it looks they're saving those for the sequels. Also I loved going to Chuck E. Cheese. I mean the original version back in the 80's when they had the full animatronic band. It was freaking amazing. I remember going there many times and then I learned there was a secret little room under the stage, to the left. It was kind of hard to see. But I went to birthday party and some of my cousins showed it to me. there were these black curtains that went all along the front of the stage, but they parted in this little area. you would go in and it was basically a tiny black light room. Meanwhile you can hear the animatronics above performing. After CEC went out of business in the 80's and before it came back I went back to the location. It was not a Christian book store. I had to go in and just see what was the same and what wasn't. a lot of the walls were knocked down, so the store was now a wide open area. you would never know it had been a CEC. the hallway that was located to the left of the main doors was still there. this still led to the bathrooms. The raised area where the ball pit was was still there, except they had placed a gazebo on top. as for the area the animatronics were at. It was kind of still there. walls were knocked down here too. so only a small part of a wall remained that let you know that this area was a large room at one point. This CEC had a ghost story. Some little kids were playing around in the ball pit. A little boy dove under and no one could see him. A larger kid went in and jumped into the pit. Guess what happened. He landed on the little boy and crack. Little kid died. when his family couldn't find him they searched the entire place but didn't find him. they took a look at security cams and this is how they found where he was and what happened. Soon after this, employees that were in the place after it closed would hear this ghost boy running around the place. they would hear him cry and laugh. He would sometimes even touch people. they would even say that you probably might have seen him in you went there and didn't realize you were seeing a ghost. But at least he didn't possess any of the animatronics. As far as I know. After closing another pizza place bought the animatronics and used them. I went there too and it was weird seeing them dressed differently and performing different songs. that place ran out of business. Who knows where those animatronics are now.

enjoy the movie because, i'm a five nights at Freddy's fan, i give it 100/10, now we know the truth and what happen to the children, it was him the whole time, the truth is right in front on us the whole time.

I feel like this movie stomped on the lore but threw in eater eggs for the fans to easily be distracted. The story was very slow paced and boring, watched it on a live stream with others and all of us were bored. It was very much made for kids because the plot was simple and there isnt much going on in the movie. I feel like it failed to build the tension it was trying to build. But I’m always entertained by the reactions you guys drop. I’ll watch anything yall drop tbh 😌

The game is genuinely creepy. The movie was a money grab. Side note Josh Hutcherson and Tom Holland should totally play brothers.
