honestly, fnaf 4 might be my favorite game outta the series. not only is it scary, it's pretty tragic too.

fnaf has such a confusing story like I always watch fnaf theories and it just makes it more confusing

the ending just shows how FNAF is not just a scary horror game. it shows a sad and tragic plot behind these animatronics and their childhood past. how they died and their vengeance. that poor kid was traumatized and eventually because of how scared he was, he was mocked and tormented by those older kids and then sadly passed away after the bite. this final specific scene of the game has made me cry every time :(.

The meaning of this game is almost all psychological, all of those monsters are representations of their fears caused by his old brother Michael. His family won't help him because Elizabeth does not care about him and his father William is too busy to help him more than watch him through the cameras from Fredbear plushes. The voice from almost all minigames is their consiciouness that tries to help him to avoid his fears, excepting the voice from the last minigame, that is in reality his father, William Afton. By his dead, he promises that he will found the way to put him back together (Remnant) and starts his killing spree to found the way, just to experiment to see his boy again. One of the depressing histories from the videogames.

that's not a man at all, that's a child being stuffed into spring trap... also, the flowers by the bed, the saline bag with i.v.... you're playing as the kid in a coma, as he fights his nightmares to try and stay alive, the final mini game is him dying in his sleep, essentially the mini games tell what happens, and the nights are him dreaming, with each night getting worse to his inevitable death.

Theory: After the kid (crying child) gets bitten there's the plushies and if you look closely its the same text color as the big brother's shirt just like in the birthday party this could mean that the big brother is sorry for what he did and is talking to the kid (crying child) while the kid is in his bed resting or resting in a hospital bed because when you turn around to the bed you can see different objects on the dutchis next to the bed also you could be playing as the big brother having nightmares because he is thinking about how the kid (crying child) felt when fredbear's mouth collapsed onto the kid's head or how the kid felt bring scared again and again everyday.

i cried in the end, is just.. too sad for me how he cries even more when the plushie of Fredbear leaved..-

its funny how when I first played this game I hated the older brother, and once you progress with the lore you realize how terrible of a fate he suffered. He's truly an underrated character with a lot of potential, and he over time he grew to become my favourite fnaf char

I'm 11 and must I say, out of all the FNaF Tragedies that have happend, Crying Child's story (in my opinion) was the saddest. Whenever I think or see what he went through, I always cry because it's just so sad. I feel alot of sympathy towards people who suffer, fictional or not. It's good to know this little guys soul was set free to roam the afterlife happily.

In case some people didn't know, the big brother was actually Michael Afton, aka the security guard in Sister location, son of William Afton (purple man), brother of Elizabeth Afton (got killed by circus baby) and the other purple man (he is described by having purple skin).

I'm starting to believe that crying child saw circus baby killing her sister and for that reason he was so afraid of being in the pizzeria. In one of the mini games it says something like "no, don't you remember what you saw" also Elizabeth's room seem empty like no one's is there anymore. That also would explain the plushies everywhere watching over him. I want to believe that maybe Michael was scaring him so much because of that but also seems he was just cruel at that time because his friends were just teasing crying child.

FNAF actually has some good music choices. I cannot dissociate the opening of Bizet's Carmen from it thanks to Scott, and Schubert's serenade is a good choice at the end here. Scott knew how haunting classical music can be

If yes, why did the purple guy kill him? -did the child survive? -was that the purple guy's son?

It’s cool how it shows fredbear (jack) watching over the crying child since Henry was basically forced into having to deal with Williams antics, and saw how horrendously he treated his children. The eyes following him probably portrays Henry wanting to escape from it all and help the rest of the kids.

Here is some information for the uncultured fans who can't tell the difference between Michael and The Crying Child. FNaF4 Crying Child is *NOT* Michael Afton. The Crying Child has no confirmed name. In one of the FNaF books, he is referred to as "Norman". His fanon names is "Chris" and "Evan". He is theorized to be Michael but this is not true, since in FNaF5 (Sister Location), you play as Michael. At the end when you get the true ending, Michael gets scooped by Ennard (a creation made of Ballora, Circus Baby, FunTime Freddy and FunTime Foxy), and becomes a skinsuit for the animatronic. If The Crying Child was Michael, I don't think the ending dialogue in Sister Location it would say "it's me, Michael." but something else like *Norman* . ( *THEORIES* ) The Crying Child might've seen his sister (Elizabeth Afton) get murdered by Circus Baby, thus why he is scared of the animatronics. The Crying Child might be possessing Golden Freddy (FredBear) with "Cassidy". Michael might've been the player in FNaF1 and FNaF3, but FNaF3 is more possible since Michael is quite the pyromaniac. ( *EXTRA INFORMATION* ) In FNaF6 (Pizzeria Simulator) you *also* play as Michael (dead Michael). Michael might've had his final death in Pizzeria Simulator but that's unconfirmed. At around 3:59 we get the chance to talk to a young girl by a swingset. Hold on to the text color used for when she talks. Then, go to around 7:58-7:59 or so, and LOOK: The same color text. We obviously know that's HIS sister (Thanks to MatPat) Or else, why would she be there in the Hospital, with his older brother? Well, put that together, mash it up with other stuff, and Jumbed into one, makes, BABY. So there you have it, my complete theory of what we can fit the other games' pieces, but mostly the pieces for FNAF 4 all scrambled with one single Color of text...

I think that last scene is him in a coma or in some kind of state and who he hears are his friends concerned and guilty of what they did, but in his mind he sees them as his toys maybe thanks to the fact that when he last saw them was with masks on. I try to piece the dialogue according to their masks and kind of teddy bear. idk probably there is more to it or im wrong, but I just like getting the details and all and making something out of it. After all besides the jump scares the little nods and Easter eggs is what makes it really addicting.
