Excellent advice, I agree there's something fantastic about being in the field that you can't get from the university. As engineers, we must value technical knowledge above all things, but we must pay proper respect for field knowledge as it holds experiences immensely valuable

What do you think of civil engineers that only supervise construction but don’t do any kind of structural design ?
