On Good Friday Jesus suffered throughout His entire body and soul. See the Shroud of Turin. Job was His archetype. The nails and spear wounds He kept and glorified. By His wounds we have been healed. Why did He keep those five wounds? The only man made thing in Heaven. God takes them and glorified them. We mark the altar, five crosses on the altar stone. On the Easter candle, five grains of incense. 1 for Christ’s own glory, an everlasting trophy of His victory He will not be known without His cross. Overcame the malice of men. 2 to confirm the hearts of the disciples in faith of the cross and resurrection 3. The wounds are for our continued intercession ..justice must be satisfied 4. To convince those redeemed by His blood have been helped 5. To upbraid the faithless My brief notes, listen for the fullness and beautiful explanations in depth

The prayers on the Five Wounds got my attention about a week ago. I donwloaded it thinking that there is something very special about it. Just after the Holy Week this year my aunt a nun of the Medical Mission Sisters sent me a medical explanation of the complete mangled body of Christ during His passion. Your video is a grace and miracle to me. It is a very good point to reflect on the intense love of Jesus and His constant reminder of His love for us. Thank you.

Some Sacred Heart representations do not show the five wounds. Are you saying we should rid our homes of these? Perhaps, I have misunderstood. Can you clarify? Thanks.:-) I have an image of Christ’s Sacred Heart, but just torso, as in, hand wounds and heart. No crown of thorns or head wounds. Also, how do we get rid of them? Surely, it’s sacrilege to simply throw them out?

Where precisely was the wound in Jesus side? Right or left? Between what ribs? Or another spot?

Oh so true. Excellent point. Good for you. They have eyes but they don't see and they have ears but they don't hear. Three popes forbade this devotion. Including popes Pius the eleventh and the twelfth.

@@kimberlyhuster7159 - you are making an assumption here (no pun intended) - no one is saying Our Lady was not wearing clothes but one cannot take for granted they were made on earth, i would be surprised if they were. God bless

Jesus was crucified like thousands of other Roman subjects. Nothing others did not suffer. Shroud of Turin is nothing to do with Jesus.

The difference between Jesus’ death on the cross and all others, is the fact that Jesus is God, and sinless.
@paulgerard45035 жыл бұрын
@@charliesabella7465 Jesus was just another ist Century Jew. No historical records exist of anything else other than an ordinary man. No virgin birth, completely made up and never recorded at the time by anyone. No census at the time of his birth by the Romans and certsinly not one where you go to the males hometown. No miracles, no resurrection. We do not even know who wrote the gospels decades after his life. .
@01Yogini5 жыл бұрын
Paul glandy those other subjects all had original sin. As for Shroud of Turin, no one is ever obligated, as Catholics or otherwise, to believe in shrouds, visions, etc. We are only obligated to attend to the Sacraments, pray, meditate, and live a life ordered towards eternity in Heaven. That’s how Catholics live. I’m not even sure why you’d bother watching this video, if not to say the same things non believers, like yourself, have said for time immemorial. Quite frankly....boring and tedious, but You’re entitled to your view, of course. I’d never waste any time trying to convince atheists or agnostics. Complete waste of energy and time so with that I will finish...Part of the beauty of free will! :-)

Well. the cloth weave is not consistent with Jewish methods. It is of a style that was not introduced for another thousand years. It is carbon dated to the 1300 hundreds not the first century. It does not depict a man with typical Jewish first century facial features. Jesus was a typical Jew of the time and needed to be picked out to the guards upon his arrest. Your expert is a Church man who has skin in the game.
