No shields is a big problem right now, with the amount of range units that got mastery shields are very strong.

Tbf rattan can also kill IR and modaos from my experience, they destroy infantry without shield

I put all defense and health doctrine into my rattan pikeman, and when I bring this unit, of course my weapon will be poleaxe. I dont intend to make my rattan pikemen as a killer, but as an ultimate troll unit . with rattan pikeman debuff (att and mov 20%) + poleaxe (wardance 25%++), you will see MAA boots made out from bricks and charge at you using cut-out foamboard sword

For the players that use Rattan Pikes for many years can say that before this update of Mastery are better, now is true get more poison + for the new doctrine that get a little temporary bonus but the unit for the mastery is focus now in support for att speed vs the enemy in the past you can destroy a tier 5 with this unit with blue or purple doctrines now only stop some cavalry & the men of arms if you play well in flanks, for now is other support unit, the game need to rework well the low tier no for be broken, for get a unique style in the game for play with strategy

To me, those rattan are better use combined with units with lots of dps as you're gonna use them to get the dammages, slow enemies, and reduce enemies dps. Like you put rattan with skjaldmos for example or something else and you push through enemies that way

They good units.Now with mastery even better then before.But again i believe shields just block most of their dmg.

plum, I want to ask for advice because I'm about to get burned out of CB. I've been playing since S7, and i feel like i've achieved nothing, it just feels like I'm doing something wrong or that my mistake is playing for free against premium players... because between farming mats for better gear, leveling my tech tree units and unlocking seasons, I play the best i can yet see no improvement, and I end up feeling like just wasting my time every single season because can't fight back any meta unit since I don't have anything to fight back... I just want to know what the hell am i doing wrong because i've been playing like crazy and it just feels so pointless...
