just for you who might have this question, yes the fear goes away after a long while of riding, once you start hitting the "if this goes wrong there is no recovering from it" drops, the onese that will make you crash if you case them lightly or go even a bit to far forwarda or backwards. once you have done one few times (with propper skill of course) you start to trust yourself, dropping it the 2nd time without anyone to follow of a 2+ meter drop becomes ok. buthat fear will never go away, you will just learn to not notice it due to confidence, but when you feel off when riding (trail is slower due to rain, bike setup feels worng, you are tired or whatever) you will feel that full force of the fear again.

Perfect timing, our local trails just got three new drops and so far I only conquered two, I’m not doing the big one until I get the others dialed. I’m not even going to do a run up until I know that I’m going to drop, lol

The great thing is I can just turn off my mind and be like, fuck it, I'm just gonna send it, worst thing that can happen is that I injur myself. But it can be pretty shitty sometimes, because I go way out of my comfort zone and hit the biggest drops or jumps I can find.
