good video. I'd like to add, that it is good to make non-negotiable offer before orange message. If your and agent position are similar (in 3rd or 4th round of negotiations) and agent keep on demanding the same thing press him with non negotiable offer. especially if his client wants to join/stay in your club. it will work more times then not. Also I will not recommend to have less then 3 years contract for star players. 3,5 year till the end of contract is ideal to renegotiate if you are not a big club. Halseth Nypan had been angry at me for 2 years and set my locker room on fire. He was playing shit on purpose (very low morale). After which I had no other option then sell him. Some lads are persistant ;) And I had no idea that I can offer player a contract with a start date at the end of a season. Great tip! :D

Thank you! Good tips here as well, interesting to hear about using the non-negotiable option potentially a little earlier in the contract negotiations to help force the agent into making a decision earlier. A nice way to flip the script on the agent during the negotiations.

This is true, although when I've tested it I've found that you can negotiate their contract demands down to something more similar to if you had started the contract immediately.

I am in the constant situation of Uzun not wanting to negotiate a contract without a release clause and even if i ask the agent before they never mention it so i have no chance to get rid of it in negotiations, also the release clause is always around 6million under his 14million Market Value (out of germany) any tips or tricks?

Honestly, it sounds like it might be hard coded into the game that they're going to ask for a release clause right now. Can you adjust the release clause fee at all (i.e., negotiate it to be above 6m)? You could negotiate it to a fee you're more comfortable with, lock that fee in (probably with the orange not the red so that they don't immediately reject the negotiation), and then work around it with their higher contract demands. Alternatively, you could promise them higher playing time (i.e., regular starter to star player) and a pay raise early in the negotiations (maybe even that you'll contend in the league/cup competitions too), and that might give you more flexibility with the release clause. Unfortunately, it just seems like its hard coded into the game, and you might just need to improve your reputation before they will not ask for the release clause. The last thing you could do is, if they have a couple of years left on their contract, wait until you've done well in league/cup competitions so that you get a reputation boost. Then, with the reputation boost, they might not ask for the release clause or be cool with a higher fee. @@FilipinoFM It is hard locked at 10million at most, i cant get rid of it neither over the agent nore the negotiations itself :/ This player also asked to be lsited twice bc of failed negotiations and unlisted twice again so im really confused what FM wants me to do here xD. Anyway thanks for the tips seems like i have to get rid of him sadly. Really awesome prospect.
