It's amazing how much lighter the Recpro stuff is vs. the factory stuff. We LOVE recpro furniture!

The drawers alone weighed more than the new benches do! It makes up for the way heavier new mattress 😂

I love our Magneshades. We also have the tire covers from Magneshade and live them as well.

Good to hear! I've seen other motorhomes with shades that hang down and cover the whole wheel well - I kinda like those, but having to put rivets into the panels is keeping me away from them...

Oh man yours was different than ours because all of ours were interior magnets! Dinette looks great! 2 ladders would have been helpful!!

Thank you so much for the shout out in your video! It was my pleasure helping and providing the second ladder :) We hope the magneshade is working out well for you in this crazy heat!! 😊

You were a huge help Marc, thank you so much! So far that thing has been great too - I'm kind of regretting not doing the side windows now 😂 I'm going to pull out the infrared thermometer one of these days to see just how much it's blocking.

I'm sure you'll like the Magna Shades. You're braver than me, installing them. I drove to their shop and had them do it. Those magnets are nothing to screw with.....lol Continued safe travels.

It was pretty straightforward. We made sure to do them one at a time and think before moving them around. The outside ones were way less scary so it was just the 6 inside ones that we carefully kept far apart.

Carry on, BUDDIES: I love watching you two working together! Cutest thing in this vlog? A tie between Vector and Ben’s little hand waving his toy when Erin asked if he was buckled.

I saw someone do a video on the Magneshade a few months ago. I told hubby that's what we needed. We do have electric day & night shades inside out Class A and not a big deal to have something extra outside. I wasn't sure if we really needed one since our day & night shades roll up or down with the touch of a button. Maybe to help keep the sun out. HUGS~Donna

It is making a HUGE difference in how much heat comes in the windshield. We've got shades on the inside too but the heat still gets in behind them and radiates out into the rig. The magneshade stops the heat from ever getting in.

I never saw Erin so happy about throwing something in the dumpster as she was tossing the cushions from the dinnette!!! Erin the rug looks great & appears to be holding up well. Could you put the magnets on the outside & hook the shades on the inside? The pollen is nut right now adding a layer of dust to everything.
@Five2Go
@Five2Go 3 жыл бұрын
Haha! We've been looking at those peeling things for a year now so it was great to finally get them out of here! The rugs have been great so far too - the really low pile is keeping them from getting too dirty and they're super grippy on the back so they're not sliding around. We like them a lot more than what we had before.

Hi Brian and Erin! Have seen you in a while. Missed you both. You both have been busy. Making your home into a home. It’s looking good. Can’t wait til next video. What I was wondering Brian how does the magnets work when you have to have take the shade off for when you drive? Is that easy too? You and Erin are quite handy there. I couldn’t believe the video ended when I didn’t know it was time to be over. I was having fun. Well I hope Erin has a happy Mother’s Day. 💐🌷

Where are putting the sub now? Great vid guys. Love from Alberta
@Five2Go
@Five2Go 3 жыл бұрын
The sub is going in the trash. The whole sound system that was in here is awful. The speakers sound terrible and they're in really bad locations. We have a sound bar for the TV which is miles better than that sound system from the factory.

I'm interested to see how you install that shade by yourself each time you setup camp. Seems pretty high, requiring a ladder just to install it. Please update us in the next episode.

There's a telescoping tool in that cardboard tube. We're moving on Sunday and will film it for y'all (but it won't be in the next episode).

Actually super simple. We have the front and driver's and passengers side windows. Takes me about 5 minutes to put all three up. Standing on the ground using the telescoping pole.

I know this is not related to this video but I noticed the box for your Hughes pedestal guard and been meaning to ask if that interferes with the surge guard that came on the 2016 Bounder from the Factory? Kinda like if you plug a GFCI extension cord into a GFCI outlet they fight each other and keep tripping each other off.
@Five2Go

Nope, they haven't had any conflicts so far. I was worried about that at first but nothing funky has happened.

Why do you have exterior magnetics on outside? I saw install before and the magnets on the top were inside? Is there something different in your MH inside that prevents the magnet being installed inside?
@Five2Go
@Five2Go 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the top 6-8" or so of the windshield is up behind some cabinets so we can't get up there for interior magnets. It's annoying. Every rig is slightly different though and we've seen a bunch with only interior magnets.

Slide the magnets off each other, trying to pull them apart isn’t going to work so well.

That's what we did, it was the only way to get them apart.

We have a reflection 312bhts and love it as our first travel home. We want to remove the dinette and add a home office. Did you remove the dinette in your reflection? We were told if we remove anything it would void our warranty. Do you know if this is true?
@Five2Go
@Five2Go 3 жыл бұрын
Removing furniture won't void your warranty for the whole RV, just for the items you've removed. If you remove the dinette and an AC unit goes on the fritz you won't have any issues. Grand Design is one of the best companies out there in terms of repairs and warranty work as well - we often hear about people contacting them for something after the warranty has expired and they still help out.
@jillcrary7407
@jillcrary7407 3 жыл бұрын
@@Five2Go thank you for your help! The person who did our walk through told us it would void the whole thing but we didn’t fully believe that. GD really has gone above and beyond for us. I did a LOT of research before we sold the sticks and brick and went off into the sunset 😄 When my glass stovetop cover shattered while boiling water out of no where they were quick to send a new one out to us within days in a super remote location! The top cover for our microwave fell off on our last travel day, hoping to hear back from them soon on this fix as it’s unable to snap back in.
